Please bare with me, I need tethering help within 3.0

So I decided to try 3.0, I activated my iPhone aafter getting my developer liscense. I updated my carrier settings via iTunes by updating ATT_US.ipcc
the Internet tethering option was enabled. This is where I'm stuck. I plug the iPhone into my pc and have no clue what to do from there. I've looked in network places, network connections, I've even tried setting up a new network. I just can't get it to work, please help. I've done extensive research and could not find an answer.

Mate i am in no way an expert as this answer will show!! i havent even 3.0 beta'd it yet as im too inexperienced...however i take it you want to you use the phone to connect to the internet, no? if thats the case why dl pda net on the blower and on your pc and youre away using the blower to connect... i am wrong tell me i need to learn...
