iphone IUAlert Notification
alright. so i want to give my IM client (beejive) UIAlerts.
im not that great at iphone app development
so im asking you smart people.
im sure you guys, or girls, know about status notifier or notifier or what ever.
that puts a little badge in the status bar when you have a missed call, sms, voicmail, mail, ect,
more importantly in my case, it recognizes when i have a new IM.
so all i want to do, is figure out how to get a UIAlert instead of the status bar badge.
one that will ALSO pop up on the lock screen.
ive made an alert, i just have no idea how to make it work how i want.... (a screeni is attached)
(where "ignore" would do nothing, and "open" would open beejive)
anyone have any ideas?
currently im usuing backgrounder and insomnia to keep beejive running during lock.

when you say you arent that good at it you mean you dont know the first thing about it right?
its ben suggested but a 3rd party app would have to be developed with backgrounding built in then you would have to build it into status notifier which means contacting zotyo and having him write it in which he may not want to do
a very complex process
one that i dont really care about enough to do
please use the search bar

I'm not so sure that you could grab the message from Beejive because the message would be within the Beejive application. Unless you could some how intercept the message when it's being transmitted TO your phone from the service towers.
so you could create an application that runs in the background and catches all of the data that's being fed to Beejive and have that same application somehow popup on the lockscreen.
oh another thing, maybe Beejive has a DB file (like MobileSMS) and you could grab the last message from there.

not really, because it would require more to achieve the alert AND have it display the message, one that beejive handles, not the OS

what if your app checked to see if the notification was in the status bar and based it off of that?
edit:
see if this helps:

it might take a while to learn the code, but it's entirely possible, just a little hard.
