Running unsigned code on iphone?

Hi!

I have developed an application using the iphone SDK - but when trying as shown in the tutorial videos to transfer my apps - it wont let me saying the signature is not correct and to purchase the $99.99 licence.

Naturally I dont want to, I just want to see my application running on the phone?

Is this possible - and if so, how the heck do you do it!

Thanks

Andy

Well to start with the phone has to be jailbroken. Then you can just compile it in XCode to the raw ARM .app file and SSH it to the /Applications directory on your phone, set permissions, then respring your phone and your app will show up on your home screen. If you need tutorials just search this site or google it.

Really- thought it needed to be signed with the ldid application by saurik or something?

How to I access the .app file if my project is in documents/AndysPhoneApp/

?

Thanks very much for your help!

not proving too succesfull here.

Went into project/build/debug-simulator folder and scpd the AndysApp.app across to Applications folder all good.

Changed all permissions to 777

Changed group to 80 - owner is 0

Yet the application still doesnt show up....

What am i missing?

The debug simulator is Intel code that runs on the Mac. It won't run on the ARM processor on the iPhone.

You need to recompile to ARM code before transferring to the iPhone.

After transfer, you will need to restart SpringBoard or the iPhone to have the application show up.
