    Default Over the air updates

Does anybody think its possible or even a good idea for apple to update the iPhone firmware frameworks?

I dont see the point in new firmwares all the time. Why not just update the little things?

I can see the reason to change the baseband to keep the unlockers on their toes.

Example idea: When there is an update for an app, it replaces the currently installed app. Is it possible to update for example the stock "text" app? That sounds so much easier???

    What do you guys think???

Yeah, but then they wouldnt screw all of us that are running jailbroken phones. Which is a good reason why they do it.

yea, ota updates are cool but i'd perfer this way, its faster and safer for me, i had a sidekick that messed up with a ota that didnt load properly (dont know how that happened as it always checks that its fully downloaded before install)
