Digg - How Zippo blatantly ripped off a small iPhone developer
I'd like to share a story about an iPhone developer and the huge corporation that blatantly ripped him off...

That really sucks!

When asked what he would say to the columbine killers, Marilyn Manson said, "I would say nothing to them. I would listen to what they have to say, because that's what nobody else did" from the movie Farenheit 9/11

That really sucks. I do have iLightr, and Im quite happy with it. I wont be getting the Zippo app, especially after hearing this.

Wouldn't be the first time I heard such a story. I remember a while back when a game company denied a game pitch that an employee made, fired him, and then proceeded to make the game. Big companies will step all over the small guys, this is to be expected. And no, I'm not just being cynical.

No offence, the lighter app is pointless and stupid, should have been free anyway, like the Flashlight App. I don't see what is wrong here, all i see here is "competition" in an unethical ways, it happens, but I think there's been some screw ups when no agreement was made before hand. Same with the iBeer crap, its nonsense and pointless, stuff that makes an iPhone a toy rather than a productivity tool.
Oh well, I still feel bad for the ones that can't take the little competition. Law suit? forget it, make your stuff better, tell them whose the boss.Last edited by bmxtreme; 11-27-2008 at 01:27 AM.
