    Default Un-installing/Deleteing Apps

Hi, can anyone tell me how you uninstall apps. Not to just hide them within poof. There are quite a few older ones that I would like to get rid of and I feel they are slowing my Iphone down.

    Thanks,

    Nigel.m

    3G or 2G iphone?
    Which firmware are you running?
    App store or Cydia apps?

If it's 3G app store apps just touch the icon until it wiggles. Then press the 'x'. That will remove the app and the next time you sync with iTunes it will not be reinstalled (It will remain in the iTune library though).

2G on 2.* firmware is the same.

For Cydia/Installer apps you need to use manage/uninstall respectively.

Thanks for your help. There are a few apps that I cant seem to uninstall.

    Firstly it's a 2g Iphone, v 2.0.2

-The wiggle method works with most apps, but not the ones I want to uninstall like stocks, and installer (as installer is useless, Cydia is all i need).

    - Now as far as installer is concerned, there is no ability to manage or uninstall? Cant seem to find the uninstall/delete anywhere within Installer.

    - The same applies to App Store

So there are 3 questions. Hope youcan shed some light on these,

    Thanks,

    Nigel.

You can't remove the stock apps - Stocks, Mail, Clock, Calendar etc. unless you use something like WinSCP to access the phone and delete the application directories (though this may cause other problems).

I'm not familiar with the new version of installer but you could delete, as above, or re-pwn your iPhone and don't include it in the build.

Are you saying you want to remove the app store app???

To uninstall appstore apps either use the wiggle x method or uncheck them in the Applications Tab when you sync with iTunes.

Ok Great., thanks, that works but how about app's from Installer or Cydia. How does one uninstall these if the wriggle method is not possible (because it does not have a x on it when you wriggle them).
