dial iphone programmatically

my first post here. hello, world.

i'm writing an iphone app that needs to dial the phone. i'm able to pull numbers from the address book, but i can't figure out how to dial them. i must just be missing something! any help greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately weblink's are limited in the (undocumented) syntax they will handle (e.g. no asterisk or pound) but it will work - use openURL to execute.

Note that your program will stop when this happens and restart once the call completes so save your state and restore on restart.
