Official iPhone SDK in Windows!

Who says no Official iPhone SDK in windows?

Click the image to open in full size.

Although I'm pretty sure it has been done before, With some Magic from VMWare Workstation, and a modified Leopard Install Disk, It is indeed possible to use Apple's Official SDK in Windows (Along with anything Mac). No need for Cygwin anymore.

Lets see how this turns out. As you can see by the "3 Hours and 6 Minutes" at the bottom, this process is painfully slow (Partially due to the fact that I have only 2 GB of RAM, and only 1 GB is being allocated to Leopard). I still have 3 hours to go.

I'll post whatever happens here.

UPDATE: The whole machine crashed I'll try to get it to install again. Back to square one.

Yeah. I've been trying forever. but it just won't install. I've tried everything. And I just give up. I'd rather just run it in VMWare, and stop cracking my head trying to figure it out.

EDIT: It crashed I'll try again.

I'm praying right now. 57 mins left.

EDIT: I installed it, but I cant find it anywhere. I'll try one more time.

EDIT 2: Well, after getting "Kernel Panic" I decided that me, VMWare, and Leopard simply dont mix.

I give up.

Someone please link me to a good tutorial to install Leopard on an AMD machine. I've seen some before, but I want one that someone has already used and had success with, thanks.

I could only get the Tiger OSX 10.4.10 to work on my HP dv6000 AMD Turion 64x2

There is a guide to update that to leopard for AMD, but i couldnt get it to work...

Been playing with xcode 2.5 in the tiger install.... Kinda fun, but too slow for any real dev.

You can use toolchain but not official SDK - Intel Mac only and firmware 2.x only.

Hi,

I hope all is well on your end.

A wonderful job done! It means now one can develop iPhone Applications on Windows PC which is great in itself. It really is an ultimate mode !

I am also looking for a similar setup but so far I am not able to find any tutorial, help or guidance in order to achieve that. I have a Core2Duo Dell Inspiron Laptop with 2 GB of RAM and Windows XP. I want to develop iPhone Applications on my machine using VMWare. Do you have a step by step guide as how you did that or any tutorial which I can follow in order to configure the environment.

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thanks is advance.
