What's Jailbreak?

I've gotten OSX 10.5.4 to work under VMWare.

Everything works, include XCode with iPhone SDK, Interface builder.. etc. It compiles and can also go through the iPhone Simulator. I haven't upload any apps to the iPhone yet though.. 'coz I need to learn how to program in Cocoa/Objective-C. (Anyone want to give me a helping hand?)

If interested, please follow the guide @

Tutorial: Install Retail Leopard on VMware Workstation - InsanelyMac Forum

Cheers, gl all.

***This won't work on AMD system. If you have AMD, I urge not to hamper the dude with "why it doesn't work 'coz I have AMD".

I've got Leopard 10.5.4 dual booting with vista on my HP tx2000 tablet pc just fine. Here's a guide I wrote on installing leopard on it:
Dual Booting Mac OS X Leopard...

then go to the bay of pirates torrent site and search for AMD iphone SDK and some dude modified the .mpkg for the sdk to work on AMD procs. SDK installed in 10 minutes and my system is stable. my headphone jacks and webcam and CPU power management don't work, but I can write iPhone apps with the same speed as on a mac without shelling out a ton of money for an Apple computer

Also this site:
http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

has lists of computer models with instructions on how to install whatever flavor of OSX on them.

Although I'm pretty sure it has been done before, With some Magic from VMWare Workstation, and a modified Leopard Install Disk, It is indeed possible to use Apple's Official SDK in Windows (Along with anything Mac). No need for Cygwin anymore.

Lets see how this turns out. As you can see by the "3 Hours and 6 Minutes" at the bottom, this process is painfully slow (Partially due to the fact that I have only 2 GB of RAM, and only 1 GB is being allocated to Leopard). I still have 3 hours to go.

I'll post whatever happens here.

UPDATE: The whole machine crashed I'll try to get it to install again. Back to square one.
Where did you download the mac osx iso

That is the guide I used at least. It works really good if you follow it right.

I have gotten the OSx86 versions to install pretty nicley on my Gateway laptop but my wireless card is not supported.

I will be trying more and more with the VMware install but I keep getting Kernel panics on boot that I need to find a way around. I am going to try to upgrade my VMware and see if that fixes anything first.

what wireless card do you have? i'd probably guess and intel 3495 or higher. Thats what i have and my wireless doesnt work so i'm waiting to either buy a macbook or untill the driver gets developed, which ever comes first. And as for downloading the iso. Google it or isohunt is about all I can say. Email me and I could possibly send you a direct link.

I managed to get OSX in VMware running almost flawlessly!!! It was my nightly project. I used iPC OSx86 PPF5 FINAL.

1920x1200 resolution with Quartz GL enabled.

Windows 7 x64 host and 10.5.6 as guest

(i'm a little low on cash)

and second, maybe this would help:

Turn your PC into a Mac

this might help too...

http://developer.apple.com/sdk/

i may be mistaken, but it appears that it offers an sdk for windows...

Did you use a particular tutorial to get 10.5.6 working in VMWare workstation?

Really, you need to tell us how you are running Leopard on VMware Workshop... I just got that thing yesterday, and I was shocked when I saw it had no option to create a virtual machine for a Mac OS.

EDIT: Whoopsie-Doopie, I checked the whole thread and found a link to do that. Thanks .

I have gotten the latest SDK (3.0) and Mac OS 10.5.x to run under VMware without having to upgrade MacOS to 10.5.7.

Look at this link for more information.
