Have you tried putting it in DFU mode then restoring it? Or have you dropped it or has it had any water damage? If so Ones1 your guy but maybe it's just a software issue (which I never heard of an iPhone freezing at the slide to unlock screen, and trust me I've heard everything but it could happen).

Some brief information would help us figure out how to fix your iPhone

Phone was never dropped in water or anything like that, as far as I know. I've restored to factory settings several times and it stil happens. Overall, the phone works fine, except for the more than occasional freeze to unlock.

this maybe true but it is where you are partially incorrect. yes i am on the internet but it is on the inter net where they fail to tell you how to replace the screen they only tell you how to remove the lcd from it and thats it. they fail to mention the bracket that is attached to the screen. so for people who also need to do this the screen is held on by adhesive so all you have to do is run a heat gun or hair dryer around the outside of the screen and it should come right off the bracket. the only problem is that you should purchase the properly shaped adhesive to put the new screen onto the bracket. which can be bought online if looked for.

if anyone needs help replacing a screen on the 3g just let me know and i will be glad to help.

and im sorry if i was a smart *** towards you one1

WTF are you talking about? He spent $5 to send his phone over and I paid to send it back. IF you are not getting help, leave the thread.
