I had 4 come in today and 2 of you guys have potential to be out the door with just a flex cable, one is sketchy, but in the works....... one is dead as a dang door nail.

Its fun to watch this post. Ive been fixing 1gens for the past year.... and by the looks of it for too cheap!

One1, you ever found a way to sucessfully adhere a new piece of glass to a working LCD and Digitizer on a 1 gen iphone? Ive tried transparent adhesive sheets, glue and epoxy. Adhesive sheets dont go on clear and the epoxy and glue only work sometimes if the glass sticks to the digitizer.

Might as well just leave that one alone. The machine they use to do that only works in one direction, the ON direction. Their machine uses superheated material to melt it in then they drop the LCD on after the digitizer cools. Last I checked on that machine and material it was about $12,000.00

No such thing as digitizer replacement. Buy the whole LCD/digitizer/glass on ebay. They are getting cheaper. I saw them for $138 today.

I have an iPhone 2G that often freezes on the "slide to unlock" screen. The phone works well, otherwise, but I'm getting annoyed by the freezing lock screen. Anything you can do about it?

Have you tried putting it in DFU mode then restoring it? Or have you dropped it or has it had any water damage? If so Ones1 your guy but maybe it's just a software issue (which I never heard of an iPhone freezing at the slide to unlock screen, and trust me I've heard everything but it could happen).

Some brief information would help us figure out how to fix your iPhone

Phone was never dropped in water or anything like that, as far as I know. I've restored to factory settings several times and it stil happens. Overall, the phone works fine, except for the more than occasional freeze to unlock.
