    As far as auto resprings go.. We all had them in iOS8 trying to run heavy animated widgets like U7 and Chevy's mod of that... The only way to get it to stop is to move from SBHTML/GroovyAPI/GroovyLock to GroovyBoard+/GroovyAPI+/GroovyLock+. They were never released in Cydia.. but Jake (GroovyCarrot) placed .deb links for them in his threads.. And pretty much all the big widgets (and my new bases here for U7) have a GroovyPlus switch in the config.js.. that when you switch on.. will make the widgets work 'respring-free' in iOS8.. Or nearly respring free. If you have a 6Plus phone it will still occasionally respring.. but less often. The 6Plus was Apple's worst phone ever made... too little RAM for such a big phone.

    if you want instructions for changing to GroovyPlus stuff.. let me know.

    Default Running Widgets in Groovy+ stuff for iOS8 - less resprining
    xKMAN83x and any others of you still on iOS8 and experiencing auto-respringing with animated widgets. If you're currently running LockHTML4, SBHTML or GroovyLock and you want a way out of the respringing purgatory.. Here's what you have to do...

    UNINSTALL GroovyAPI. This will automatically also uninstall GroovyLock and SBHTML. Don't worry.. Your widgets won't get taken out of var/mobile/Library/SBHTML or GroovyLock folders..

    Then install these three in this order.. Just download these three .deb files to your phone... into Documents folder and unzip them.. Then in iFile or Filza simply click on them one by one and then click on INSTALL.. GroovyAPI+ first.. Very important!.

    Hopefully the process will end with Error Code:0 in iFile or #Bash04 in Filza.. each time.. Again - you must install GrooyAPI+ first.. then the other two.. Do all three in row then respring your phone..

    1)GroovyAPI+
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...2B_1.0.deb.zip

    2) GroovyLock+
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/..._beta2.deb.zip

    3) GroovyBoard+
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/..._1.0rc.deb.zip

    Okay.. that's it for installing.. Now you just have to move your widgets that were in var/mobile/Library/SBHTML into the new var/mobile/Library GroovyBoard folder that was created. If not.. Create it yourself spelled: GroovyBoard

    You can leave your LockScreen widgets in var/mobile/Library/GroovyLock.

    Now just go into Settings --> GroovyBoard+ and choose a widget you want to appear on your HomeScreen... And do the same for LS widgets in GroovyLock+.. If you still like the features of Covergance over GroovyLock(+).. you can run them both together with no trouble.. Just create a blank folder and name it Empty.theme and place that in var/mobile/Library/Convergance. Then in Convergance choose THAT widget.. Empty.theme.. Then go over into GroovyLock+ and choose your actual LS widget there.. Then they will work together..

    It's important, for the widgets you want to use in the Groovy+ stuff, to look for a variable in the Config.js called "GroovyPlus". Set it to "true". If your widget doesn't have that variable and ISN'T working in GroovyLock+ (LS) or GroovyBoard+ (SB) (showing an all black screen) - then you have to change 'one simple' line of code in your widget to get it to work..

    Find this line in the main.js file of your WidgetWeather widget (old Yahoo widgets can't work):
    Code:
    jQuery.get(url, function(data) {
    and change it to this:
    Code:
    // jQuery.get(url, function(data) {
    groovyAPI.do ({ read: "widgetweather.xml" }, function(data) {
    Hope this helps!!

    Excellent work, Menard!!! What are the elements in your mod that add the radar if I'd want to add this to a base or existing widget? Also.. yours is the only widget of mine that doesn't appear for about 4-5 seconds on my LS upon tapping power button. Does the widget load up only after Live Call to radar API?

    You getting black screen, Mike? You running in SBHTML or GROOVYLOCK+? If GROOVYLOCK+ you need to put the GRoovyPlus switch in Config.js to "true".

    What SPECIFICALLY is not working? Just the radar? Or the whole widget?

    I Menard made this update to my base with the new GroovyPlus switch..

    Menard.. One thing I want to mention when I looked at your radar code.. You're actually making like a little difficult by using this syntax..

    Code:
    if (RadarRegion == "SouthRockies") {
    $(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    	document.getElementById("SouthRockies").className = "fade-in";
        } else {
    if..............
    That structure creates endless right moving tabs.. until at the end you have a series of
    }
    }
    }
    }
    }
    } .. at the end..
    In Javascript there is already a command called 'else if'.. Then doesn't need all the extra { } bracketing.. THEN - you should learn how to use a SWITCH - when you have as many options as you do.. Makes the code run even cleaner.. So here are the two options you really should consider for your radar.js code..
    Code:
    if (RadarRegion == "GulfCoast") {
    $(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    document.getElementById("GulfCoast").className = "fade-in";
    }
    else if (RadarRegion == "GreatLakes") {
    $(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    document.getElementById("GreatLakes").className = "fade-in";
    }
    else if (RadarRegion == "NorthPlains") {
    $(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    document.getElementById("NorthPlains").className = "fade-in";
    }
    else if (......etc) { .......
    }
    Or the switch method is super clean.
    Code:
    switch (RadarRegion) {
    	case "GulfCoast":
    		$(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    		document.getElementById("GulfCoast").className = "fade-in";
    	break;
    	case "GreatLakes":
    		$(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    		document.getElementById("GreatLakes").className = "fade-in";
    	break;
    	case "NorthPlains":
    		$(".AllRadars").addClass('fade-out');
    		document.getElementById("NorthPlains").className = "fade-in";
    	break;
    ......etc.....
    }
    Hope this helps!

    I've noticed that too. All the radar locations are being loaded in the html. Do you think that's what is causing it to lag?
    Another option would be to make the radar 'img' a div.. and have the location source be called in the CSS, as a background URL. That may help to load the widget faster and then it just loads the radar that's chosen in the options.plist. I think so, anyways
    I'll change it up and see if that helps.

    If you're running Menard's widget in SBHTML/GROOVYLOCK it won't work without a code change.. Menard needs to change his mods to my newer code if people on ios8 using SBHTML want to use it.

    And "my fault"... not his..

    Does anyone know why I would be getting a current temp of 30 and an hourly forecast temp of 26 for the current hour?

    Because the hourly is from a forecast, while the current is, well, current.
