@melrod get it off the repo listed on the first post

    Breakdown of whats is coming.

LockBuilder now is able to create .plist files. These files store everything you create in LB. From the where you placed the Weather icon all the way to saving the complete background. EVERYTHING is saved.

This will allow you to create anything directly from your lockscreen. Press save file give it a name, and send that file to your friends or anyone. You could even upload it to cydia (instructions later after initial beta).

I have also adde a file reader that will read all plist that are in the folder var/mobile/Library/LBThemes. No longer will you have to type in a name to receive a layout. Just pick it from a populated list. As soon as you put a plist there LB will recognize it. No respring needed.

I have also implemented this for the AppIcons as well. If you want to use a theme from winterboard it will populate a list of all your themes in winterboard. Just tap the theme you want an LB will load the icons from that theme.

The plist will also contain the wallpaper you used. One of the questions I got the most was. "Can you share your wallpaper" Now you can share your whole setup wallpaper included!

On top of that for modders out there you can use the plist as a css file. It contains all elements positions, rotations, scale, color, and text shadow. So even if LB doesn't have this adjustment feature, or you just want to fine tune your setup you can adjust the plist itself.

    Getting public beta ready soon.

A couple LBThemes from the Alpha testers.

As always, it looks like you've outdone yourself again (well, until the update after this one that will probably blow our minds again). 😜

The .plist idea is genius as is the sharing of lockscreens. My favorite part is the CSS file option, I will definitely take advantage of that.

Can't wait for the update. And thanks for continually pushing the bar.

It's insane. I really can't wait to send it to everyone. I have been coding and coding and coding. Insane amount of work to get it where it is now.

This is the reason for the delay. With so many objects and so many things to do issues are bound to arise. I think I have gotten most of them, and if you know me then me posting is a sign if it coming very soon.

Just want to make sure everything is good before thousands of layouts are all over and I missed something simple that will cause me endless amounts of frustration.

    Thanks for the support.

Love the new functionality. I've found a minor "bug" with saving layouts to plists. I also wonder if something similar is what is causing me to be unable to save but the first layout in the settings area.

I found that I was unable to save my layouts to a file. I would go through the process, but when I would go to load from file, only the stock 6 would appear.

Using iFile, I found that /var/mobile/Library/LBThemes was owned by root.

Since, of course, we run as user "mobile", nothing would save...and there's no error message to let us know the file couldn't be written.

So, in iFile, I changed the ownership of the LBThemes subdirectory to "mobile" and was able to save my plist...in fact, I've created and saved 4 layouts, so far.

Side note...when you go into "Load from file" and the plist list pops up, I'm unable to locate a way to dismiss that plist menu/list, short of locking the screen or pressing the home button to cycle to the next Cydget (or reload the current one).

One other note...if I use "reset" from the settings screen, then create a new layout, all of the app icons appear, in a stack, in the upper left corner, such that I have to close them all.

Also, if I change my font to "stock bytafont 2", the forecast widget's icons all turn into boxes, but going into weather items and "changing" the icon style for the weather icons causes them to appear properly, again.

So, to summarize...love the new functionality, wanted to share some observations in case they help you or anyone else.

This may have been asked before, but does anyone know what icon size LockBuilder is using for the icons? Some of my Winterboard themes are not showing certain icons (just a white box) so I assume it's due to the particular icon size ie. 80x80, 58x58, etc. has not been themed by the theme creator.

    Thanks in advance.

Same issues. Good find on the ownership for the .plist files. Changed mine to mobile and can now save. I'm having the same problems with the themed icons turning to white boxes after certain changes as well and all icons showing after a reset.

I haven't tried saving into slot 2 yet but I will update what I find when I do.

Overall, just a few small bugs. Everything else is great.
