first of all I wanted to congratulate Truckinlow on his fantastic theme MiOS7. I haven't changed my theme in months but his definitely was worth it.

Now there is just one thing that's bugging me and that's the status bar. The status bar varies in different apps. For example in Safari or Facebook it's black, in other apps like WhatsApp it's a very dark grey and in the photos app it's transparent.

I would really love to make the status bar look like in most of the Apps, very dark grey. Is there a possibility to change that via iFile?

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks already!
Oops. Sorry to have overlooked your question.

I do all my stuff from iFile and never experienced any issue in this regard.

The status bar has three states if you include the tethering and in call states.

Do you still need to know the names and files for these ?

Thanks for getting back to me! I probably should have asked again since no one replied. However, I managed to change the status bar and chose the black one for all three different names. But after doing so my iPhone crashed. All there was was the Apple logo and the loading bar underneath and it was stuck at zero, not doing anything. So I had to restore. I have no idea how that happened. After that I had to restore my iPhone and lost my Jailbreak. Now I just want to make sure that it won't happen again. But johncon68 pointed out that there's no possibility of the iPhone crashing this hard just by changing these minor things. What do you think? Any ideas on how it could have happened? Thanks

Yep, theming with WinterBoard can at worst cause safe mode if the file you swap the original with isn't adequate. Or if a widget has some code error.

    1) You were doing it all in WinterBoard themes, weren't you ?

    2) were you respringing from within WinterBoard for the caches to be cleared or did you do it through a different means ?

    1. I'm not exactly sure what you mean. I changed the things within iFile, in the MiOS7 theme folder.

    2. Yes, I always resprung with Winterboard.

I did delete some files in iFile, like some things that were within the Winterboard app, which I thought I wouldn't need. For example I deleted some different shadows from the MiOS shadows, since I only installed one. Could that have something to do with the crash?

You might have been able to get out of it with "semi restore" unless you had ilex rat installed.
Widget-Weather App Now Available! Also with MyLocation Support!
Check out the thread here - Widget-Weather
To install the Widget-Weather app, just go to Cydia and install. This will also remove MyLocation, as it is built in!
Want to protect your JailBreak! Add this repo http://cydia.myrepospace.com/iLEXiNFO/ & Install "iLEX R.A.T."
It will allow you to bring your phone back to a fresh jailbroken state!

' I meant you only made changes to the files from applying WinterBoard themes, right ? No direct change done directly in the iOS 'System' directory ?

I didn't have ilex rat installed. How would that have worked? What do you mean by "semi restore"?

That's right. I only changed files in the Themes folder. Does this help?

It lets us know you didn't mess anything up. So you constantly are in safe mode. In Cydia, does Mobile Substrate show in your installed packages ?

If so, uninstall Mobile Substrate. It'll add all dependent packages to the uninstalling queue, and should remove your issue.

If Mobile Substrate isn't part of your installed Cydia packages (which I presume is the case...), in iFile (or through ssh) , navigate to /Library/

    and delete the MobileSubstrate folder.

As a safety measure also delete the 'Caches' folder in /var/mobile/Library/

Reboot your phone (switch it off and back on).

I couldn't do anything with my iPhone anymore. All that was displayed was the apple logo and an empty loading bar underneath. I went into DFU mode and had to restore. I couldn't get into safe mode. What do you make of that?
