Thread: NextGenUI [A HD Theme]

  1. #381
Seeing that this is a different type of UI and that there are some tweaks that aren't necessarily needed anymore... such as sprintomize3, iconomatic, iconoclasm, gridlock, barrel, etc, etc. Would those such tweaks cause conflicts with NextGenUI? because I have them installed for previous themes. just not being used for this awesome UI theme.

  2. #382
They shouldn't cause any conflicts, but you can disable them to save some battery.

NGUI overrides all home screen springboard tweaks. It's best to save ram and disable them.
However, anything that tweaks CC or NC, you can leave as those are not effected by NGUI.

Only two conflicts at the moment are SPTouch and Eclipse, I think I know why safe mode might be occurring - will hopefully be able to get 4.3.10b ready to push by the weekend, getting my iPad today so going to see how easy it is to get iPad Compatibility for this update too

What conflicts does Eclipse cause? I'm runnng Eclipse with it, and the only issues I'm having is when the apps occasionally don't launch.

One issue - when I double click home button to check multi-tasking apps and try to close them one by one and then return back to main theme NGUI, the screen becomes black then I have to restart it or respring it. iPhone 5s.

My 5s has done this a few times also. Or it will do this when I simply hit home button from an app. Usually if I open the multitasking and actually select the home screen instead of hitting home button it will come back to normal. Not a big deal to me I guess. I haven't had to actually restart or respring.

Yeah I've patched the loading bug and this one is the last one to work out before I push another update, iPad port will be coming soon too but requires a lot of work yet

I know your probably still a ways out from releasing for the iPad but how do you think it'll run on an iPad 2? Because that will be my only reason to jailbreak it.

for everyone who uses eclipse+nextgenUI, i have i fix for you guys that solves the issue that next gen colors aren´t shown right

    go with i file to

/var/mobile/library/preferences and open the com.gmoran.eclipsesettings.plist with text viewer and add a line in that plist

    <key>BlackListed-com.apple.springboard</key>

Slowly patching for iPad, working with the exception of a few components not adjusting properly might beta test within the week but been advised to separate this product from the iPhone version so will look to discount somehow those that already have the iPhone version

Looks amazing man. I can't wait for the release. You don't have to give us a discount, you can charge regular price even if we bought the iPhone version.

I agree, I wouldn't recommend you discounting it.
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

Me neither... As an owner on iphone, i'd still be willing to pay 2.99 or even more for it running on my ipad.

I think it's about time 4.3 brought in widgets too, pretty sure it'll be easy to implement with the preference bundle handling themes and colours too
