Guys, really need some help here. I have read and try all methods in this forum. I just cannot get the weather to work. It just keeps showing "loading..."
Tried using Yahoo weather code my my location : Singapore but still doesn't work.
Tried installing GPS Weather Lockscreen also doesn't work.
Tried editing gps to "true" in config.js also doesn't work.
appreciate if anyone can help. my previous theme ACT v2 uses .css file for the weather. Can SHINE uses that as well? if yes, how?

Yahoo weather is down!!!
05-21-2013, 07:02 AM #27
I don't think it's down still. Hearing something about the 7 day forcast making it an issue. They did something yahoo that is all they show now is today and tomorrow.

My weather is still down. Was working for a while yesterday but stopped updating around 5:30pm. Now only "Loading..."
Also Lockscreen 2 is not working for me. Mostly a black screen with scattered objects. Tried redownload of theme and even reinstall of winterboard to no avail.
Oh yeah, also, this is the greatest theme of all time.

Okay, since yesterday every theme with a weather widget has massive issues.
Yahoo made some unknown changes and iOS weather widgets with a more than 1 day forecast don't work
Although SHINE has only a 1 day forecast there was still code at the used UniAW that tries to load a forecast for
3 more days.
I released a quick FIX at the SHINE forum (iP5) and I'm just submitting Theme updates to all stores.

Purchased just like I do for all of Blue's theme.
Blue, could you make the iWidgets transparent area smaller? Right now the area to the sides of the widgets are completely useless. Does the iWidgets need to be width of of the display? Could they be just the width, or a little larger, of the iWidget itself?

The reason is the following: Only with this full screen width and height each widget is always centered exactly at the same right position for SHINE when you enable it. Otherwise you must manually position each widget, which is impossible.
I discussed that with my beta users before release.
100% voted for that current userfriendly solution

A quick question about the twitter widget. Is there any ways for it to display actual feeds from the personal account instead of just ones from modmyi?
By the way, thanks for the quick fix. Amazing! As I saw this I changed from ayecon to Shine without even thinking about it twice! Best theme ever!

Yes, Twitter works with any account, see setup at post one .

Can I use the css file from another theme for SHINE ?
If yes, how to do it?

SHINE has around 50 (fifty !) css files. Do you know what a css file is ?
And for what do you want to use it ?

Okay, so the SHINE weather is a reworked, reduced and cleaned UniAW6.0.
For example it has only half the size of the original UniAW as I removed not needed weather walls and special iPhone 4 graphics and iP4 code and other not needed code (but I recoded it to work with iPhone 4 too).
I made this to
1. make these weather widget faster, cleaner, not so CPU and RAM hungry like UniAW
2. reduce the theme size as SHINE has UniAW both on Lockscreen and springboard. Would be 80 MBs only for two widgets, more than the complete theme itself
Better don't try it, BUT both Lockscreen and springboard Weather are separate themes of SHINE.
So you can use SHINE with any other Weather Widget or the original UniAW or the great mods from Yamakasi or Matux.
Makes sense ?

I'm sorry, as widgets are very new to me in jailbreaking, but how would we add new feeds to the twitter widget? Let's say that I wanted to add one for idownloadblog, but I can't for the sale of my life find out how to do it on my own. Sorry for the redundant questions, but I tried looking at the guide, found the widget.html, but don't know where to get the address for new feeds.
Can you pease help me out, again? Thank you!

Open the file Widget.html (best is with iFIle) and scroll to this line:
now just replace the text modmyi at the end of this line with idownloadblog. The ModMyi at the beginning is redundant.
the line must look like this:

Can I add multiple feeds? Like for modmyi, idownloadblog, ign... Etc.
