Thanks bud, it probably because I have made some error in the touch function, I just found out it's also not working in iWidgets, no problem though, I kinda like it when things give me problems to solve.

Thanks pal, I found this out earlier today while I was doing all the testing, but if I'm going with GroovyLock (which I probably will because of the cycript support) then I will delete LockHTML & Convergance.

Looks like Matt is fixing Convergance to have Cycript compatibility.

Though I think Bushe and Matt will quickly make sure Cycript support is added - let's not forget that one of the real beauties of UniAW was it's cross-LS-Player compatibility. Don't want to strand any LS Players in the name of progress.. .. But it should be a non-issue as I'm sure everyone will get on the cycript train eventually.

    Default Clutter in Settings window??
Before we go too far down this path - I'm wondering about the 'clutter factor' this will add to our Settings windows.. as I read June's implementation - it would require a different settings pane for EVERY WIDGET YOU OWN.. Custom built.. Is that really the way we want to go? Unless modders would agree that all UniAW-based widgets would always retain the EXACT SAME set of items that used to be in config.js. But that's rare in the mods I see.. Most UniAW-based mods have a couple of config items unique to that mod.. And can cycript distinguish between different mods without a unique Settings pane for each? Let's get some clarification from June and Jake before we move full steam ahead.. You know?

Personally I have quite a few widgets in the settings pane, best place for them imo.

It's the correct place for them IMO (it is settings after all) & makes it a lot easier for non code minded persons like us lot!

Don't really need clarification, if you have 100 widgets with settings in the settings app then you're looking cluttered my friend LOL..

Maybe they can be nested into categories? Like folders, don't know.
Or all the tweaks (LockHTML, GroovyLock, Convergance & SBHTML) be made to handle an Options.plist like iWidgets does (now that would be dandy).

I do see that point.. But think about the LS and SB widgets in your SBHTML and GroovyLock or LH3 folders now. Now each of those widgets has a corresponding Settings Pane entry. It would take 10-12 scroll down motions to get to a Tweak's Setting pane at the end of the list. And all your tweaks' settings panes would be mixed in alphabetically with the widget ones. Feel me? I, alone, with the widgets in my library I want active access to, have over 100 LS and SB widgets. Not sure I want 150 settings pref panes.. But maybe that's just me..

Maybe some form of congruency where the settings name will start SBHTML, lhtml3, GL Or Convergance respective to the widget and the naming of the widget follows? It will keep them at least organized. Well that's what I'll do moving forward...

...and newd do you have 100-150 widgets loaded currently? Maybe that's an exaggeration? I may have 10-15 at most.

    This is a great idea!

No -- I was referring to eventually seeing 100-150 'settings icons'. I have about 40 tweaks - they almost all have a settings preference pane.. So that's 40 settings panes of the 100-150... Then in my GroovyLock folder is about 50 Lockscreens I like to have access to at my whim and another maybe 30 SBHTML setups from iOS5 thru 7 that I have at ready.. Now not all of them have as many options as a UniAW-based widget would have.. But have you noted how many full page swipe down motions it takes to get from the top of your Settings window to the bottom? It takes three medium velocity swipes to get from top to bottom for me - and this is BEFORE we add preference panes for all my LS/SB widgets with config.js files in them.

I DO agree with your point about their convenience over a config.js. But it will make 'my' settings window VERY cluttered. LOL! I will NOT stand in the way of progress... you guys know me... But I will 'loudly and OFTEN proclaim my concerns' - until the final decision is made.. But in the 'NewD2.0 way - and not the 1.0 way... I hope...

    Coding question
How to select a wallpaper from a selection of 9 thumbnails in a PreferenceLoader plist file?
Can't find a solution for this problem.

  30. #16856
Get preference tag tweak from cydia ImageUploadedByModMyi1406846462.784786.jpgImageUploadedByModMyi1406846469.527561.jpg

Also you can reorder the list in settings app without any tweaks at all

I meant to reply to this earlier having had a conversation with Grant about this, to which I said cluttering up the settings app would be something I'd be working to avoid. While access to objC methods is nice to pull data from the phone, for years the use of config.js has been long established and it would be quite poor development to start new and cluttered configuration methods abusing PreferenceLoader. This, amongst other reasons, is why I worked with the WidgetWeather team to push it's application as it's neat and far less likely to result in safe modes when using the lockscreens (which I get blamed for because people aren't used to JavaScript being a reason for an iOS crash).

So about a week ago I planned to add automatic configuration support to GroovyLock and SBHTML that would allow writing the config.js as I figured it would be better to apply a global solution to pretty much every widget ever made. For neatness I will also support plist configuration which will allow loading the settings dictionary from the GroovyLock theme folder. I haven't had a chance to get around to it just yet as me and my girlfriend are trying to move and sort out jobs but I will have some time this weekend

If I'm understanding you, Jake, I think it's a better long term solution. But can you paint the picture more. I have a LS and I want to change 3 balloons to 2 in the LS. How do I do it?

So you'll go Settings -> GroovyLock -> Themes -> Your LS will have a little cog icon or something -> GroovyLock reads in the config.js and gives you a nice generated list of settings with switches or text inputs. Then when you're done configuring just hit back and it'll save the new config.js file. -> Respring to clear web cache, or just go to the lockscreen and it'll reload it automatically. I'm pretty sure I can set the WebPreferences to minimal caching.
