Hi guys, I am having an issue with the LS version. The city name it displays is about 30 miles off! I have the mylocation app and it works fine, gives the correct latlng. And even if I set gps to false and enter the woeid (in config.js) it is still off by 30 or so miles.

Easiest way is to rename or delete fetes.js

You'll find it in the JavaScript folder.

What this does is gives the name of the "Saint of the Day".

Marty, I'm gonna tell you something with 'tenderness' - more tenderness than how it was conveyed to me a year ago... LOL!!! -- And this is it.. DO the mod yourself, bro.. You've learned a lot.

Max's code is laid out beautifully - as a lot of it is Ian's code which is immaculate.

I'll give you this hint. Modding Max's from iPhone 5 to iPhone 4 is 90% about changing the positions of things in the Main.css file. The rest is about image sizes. You have the task before you of converting the size of his weather walls. That's trickier - but not impossible. There's a little software called Gimp - that's NOWHERE near as expensive as Photoshop.. In fact it might be free and it will let you open the weather walls and change their size from 640x1136 (iphone 5) to 640x960 (iPhone 4/4S). Experiment with Gimp.. Find all the files affected.. and then start moving things from lower on the screen to higher so no data falls off the end of the screen. Max's fonts may be a little too large to look right on iP4 - so change size.. You can do this, man!!!! ;-)

And when you're stuck - ask SPECIFIC question. VERY specific questions.. The veteran modders here responded to me very quickly when I said things like "My text wordwrapped to next line.. What did I do wrong"... Stuff like that will get a quicker answer than "I just can't get it to work, can someone do this for me?"..... Trust me. The knowledge you'll gain and the fun of accomplishment is worth the time invested. If you get crazy stuck.. PM me.. and what I don't know I know someone who does!

Well, I guess it was the kick in the butt I needed. Thank you Grant!
I would like to present to everyone Max's I5 UniAW SB mod v2 as a Lockscreen theme for the I4
    UniAW6.0 for iph4 & iph5-photo.png
I still need to do some tweaking but it's almost there! I even added the GPS coordinates to the top.
I will certainly post for all as soon as I'm done. Thanks Ian, Dacal, Max and Grant!

YOU DID IT, MARTY!!!!! Well done!!! I knew you'd blast it out in short order - but didn't realize THIS short a time. You're WELL on your way to being a resource person for the community. Looks great. Really great! Nice choice of positioning for i4 screen. One suggestion. It's a style thing - Max was leaving room for icons in the middle which is why he'd put the info at the top SO HIGH on the screen. But on a lockscreen you have no icons. I think the skies and UniAW animation's sun and moon are such feature that you should drop down the clock and other upper data to show more sky. But that's a style opinion - and not necessarily a must have. Just think of Lockscreens as having less 'desktop space' issues than a Springboard. Your call.

    Well done, sir!
    Grant

Thanks again pal! I really appreciate all the help and confidence.
I agree with the spacing but in order to do that I need the photoshop file of the overlay don't I?

EDIT: Nope, I figured out I can still rearrange things with the PNG version of the overlay. I thought you needed the PSD - guess not

Also, I didn't have to resize any background images. Earlier you mentioned the weather walls would need converting. Looks fine though no?

With my location, I have a weird problem.
Using the correct lat/long, this gives me some 8-digit woeid, I test it on YQL Console
    Code:
    select * from geo.placefinder where text="XXX,XXX" and gflags="R"
But then, when I use that woeid in
    Code:
    http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?w=XXX&u=f
I get a place about 30 miles off! And then, I use the woeid reported there (the 4-letter 4-digit one) as in
    Code:
    http://xml.weather.yahoo.com/forecastrss/XXX_c.xml
And that gives yet another place 20 miles off from there!

However, my city definitely has a correct 8-digit woeid (and it is actually a number 1 less than what I get above) and a correct 4-letter 4-digit one as well. I used the 8-digit one and disabled the gps. Now my city's info is shown... Can I, and how, report this to Yahoo, or do something about it?

Yes. And maybe. I forgot the walls are subject to the body stretch 100% call at the beginning of the .css. So yes. No Photoshopping needed there. As to the overlay. Maybe/maybe not. If that glassy background is an overlay to the weather wall then you can just move it down. Since the weather walls change I'm pretty sure the glassy background is just an overlay image that can be moved. Go look for it. (I'm creating a monster now...,, )
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    @ Dacal,

    Hi David,

    I saw you wiper vid

I tried something like this when I first made the wiper, tried the fade in/out like you have, tried rotating it in with the wiper and rotating it back out, tried rotating it in with the wiper then fading it back out, but the perfectionist in me wasn't happy, I then went online and researched how to fade in/out an image from left to right but hit a brick wall.
I wanted the smear image to fade in with the wiper from right to left, then fade out with the wiper from left to right, but seemingly this is very hard to accomplish.

Here it the smear image I made and used, and also what it looked like on the phone.

I just wasn't 100% happy and was under a lot of pressure to release it before I went on next job, so decided to leave it out.

Do you know if it is possible to fade in from right to left/left to right, it has to be a fade in not a slide in (obviously )

    On another note:
with all the editing I have done to version 6.1 I have just realized why you link some images in the html file to a blank.png, I spent 4hrs with a blinkin white border problem then the light bulb came on.
