My guess is that people still with random crashing should do a restore and re-jailbreak.. as they probably still have some corrupt files.

Others who have recently restored - just realize Passcode Lock is a confirmed conflict with high animation on Lockscreens.
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

Could an alternative tweak to unlock the device be a solution ? I wonder...

Trying android lock. ($1.99) Will report back. First unlock a success.

    UPDATE: 4:31 pm

30 minutes no crashing. Let phone lock on its own set it to 2 minutes. Also locked it with power button. Unlocked both times using Android lock and no crashing.

This might not be the most preferred option for everyone, but if you want security by locking tour device and requiring a pass code and also getting the best of both worlds by running weather animation on your lock this could be the answer.

Ill report back on an hour

I have had 2 crashes but not sure if it was because of all the stuff I am adding.

My weather has stopped updating now though. I had to leave and it last updated has been 25 min ago but I have it set to 10 min.

    Weird.

OK Grant, I see what you mean now....

    UniAW6.0 for iph4 & iph5-photo.png

    I'll have to dig deeper.

    .......................................

I think I fixed it. Look for these lines in the UniAW6.js file:

    Code:
    document.getElementById("arcsunrings").style.left = pTranslate - 300 + "px";
    ...
    document.getElementById("sunrings").style.left = pTranslate - 300 + "px";
    Change both 300 to 150...

well i have to slide down the notification area and tap the weather for it to open and then it updates on the SB...

also had to move back to MJSmash with no animation to get my phone stable again....

while driving it went to safe mode twice in a 15 minute drive.....

i am more concerned with the location not updating on its own......it did before I restored and re-jailbroke

Trying UNIAW 6.4 LS now after trying Marty's lock and Chevys double lock with no issues using Android lock XT which is compatible with 7.x.

I have no experienced a crash. I have even unlocked by swiping on a notification.

Really nice find, Seth. Just keep in mind it won't help people with Exchange Mail accounts at their job.. which automatically turn on Apple's Passcode before mail flows. This won't help those folks. Only using ExchangePolicyCleaner will help those folks.

Wouldn't it turn on the android lock pass code pad ? Or whatever tweak is being used? This replaces the apple pass code lock.

I swiped on a notification and I unlocked using android lock and it opened the app for the notification.

As far as I know - the Policy with Microsoft requires Apple's passcode lock on. Unless this tweak spoofs as Apple's passcode mechanism it won't work. But Bliken might be able to try.

Thanks for the additional testing, Seth. Nice find. If it works for Microsoft Mail account holders where their boss flips on the passcode policy requirement - and spoofs Apple's lock - then it's an even GREATER find. LOL!!

If running it through LHTMl3 use the advanced section in settings and reset the x and y coordinates to 0 again.

    Ferlop,

I have not tested Cydgets recently. I can test now with the Apple Pass code method disabled and see if there are issues.

I have been using LHTML3 with no issues. Ill try a real test and enable a cydget WHILE I have a lock screen running through LHTML3.

Keep in mind...The only way I personally am avoiding crashing to safe mode is keeping the Apple pass code disabled and using an alternative tweak Android LockXT.

I WAS experiencing Crashing with Cydgets and all lock screen platforms up until recently as seen above . If you use apples Pass code to unlock your device crashes will occur.

    Good challenge, King.

But the "corrupt files theory" is a really solid educated guess - since everyone who's restored gets stability back with any level of animation on the LS as long as Apple passcode is off. After installing, removing, updating tweaks - if you still have instability - then the only logical conclusion is a corrupt prefs file somewhere. Sadly Cydia isn't powerful enough to remove all files associated with a tweak when you remove the tweak. So that part's a solid educated guess..

But you're right - that IF we knew what files were corrupt - we could certainly get rid of them without a restore. No doubt. But the average user has no way of figuring that out - nor the patience for all the testing and hunting and pecking that would be required. They could also delete a file that could brick their phone. Best advice is a DFU restore.. Don't ya think? Route of least resistance in my view. And works every time to clear corrupt files.

I would say any LS player is fine now. Saurik himself created and backs Cydgets. Hard to go wrong there Ferlop.. But the functionality of Cydgets isn't as elegant. Don't think it will "win the day" in public use. Not by me it won't. But I'm sure it's stable.

Thanks seth, sounds good!!....I may have to upgrade here pretty soon, and was kinda skimming last few pages, but I know things can change pretty fast with any of those tweaks' latest update.

    Thx. also, NewD!!

It could be that the bug always existed if Passcodes were enabled. And not corrupt file related. It is possible.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

** I can tell you first test is I enabled a Cydget (Simons slideshow) and kept LockHTML 3 enabled and when hitting the home button it does not load the cydget. I turn off LHTML3 to run cydget alone and its now working but Ill check for stability.

    EDIT:
With apples pass code enabled I crashed just now with Cydgets.

    Newd

I'm not saying that you are wrong, because I don't have any proof either way. It's just a fairly bold statement to make. Also, just FYI, Cydia doesn't actually remove anything. All installations and removals are done with Debian. Now I'm well aware that items can be left behind, but usually because the files and paths that Debian is expecting have been altered. I can't think of a way that something can get corrupted. Now it is possible that a file got left behind and was causing a conflict. You might have gotten the same results by uninstalling WB, running iCleaner, and then installing WB fresh. Just something to think about.
