so here is a conflictive problem (i made that up)
when i try to either put uniaw6 widgetweather or my location in LHTML3 each one has their own error
WW can't get humidity and such
my location is unable to make the background of the weatherinfo disappear.
any suggestion anyone on how to resolve that?

When I installed Homescreen Designer (tried 2 times) my device was a black screen. Tried everything and it was completely bonked. 2 of my 3 restores on my 4S were due to installing Homescreen Designer. I still use iconoclasm on 4s. I have saved layouts in my Dropbox and if I ever come across a time where I want to make a new one I'll just live without it.
I'm sure your problems were very early in HomeScreenDesigner's release. There were known issues with Gridlock + HomescreenDesigner that caused all sorts of problems for people. But that was 3-4 updates ago that most of that 'horrible' stuff was cleared. It's gone through 8 updates since release. Very stable now.

Now - having said that. There are still a couple of issue between HSD and Gridlock -none that cause anything close to black screen stuff. But enough that you should choose the Iconoclasm/Gridlock route OR the HomscreenDesigner with NO Gridlock. The latter is the way I chose. Who's to say which one is the real problem as Gridlock has only had one minor update for 7.0.4. It's buggy for me on 5S even without anything else installed. So I stay clear of Gridlock all together - since, when you can write your own icon positioning in HSD - you don't need Gridlock to move things specially. So just another viewpoint.

Marty - there's a bug in the code that's making your sunrays stay center on the screen and not move with the sun left to right. Check out the sunrays center - even at twilight....

Hi cocco, was this iwidget based on an iwidget by Marty McFly or Bacardi, or was it made from the original UniAW iwidget?

    Me, atm,

Thanks a lot first of all, as you figured i'm on iOS 7, and i pretty much managed all that accu stuff.

i'll look up your advice with the LS stuff, cydget is working too slow and has to refresh so no go.

i do however need instruction on LS (my location) i have no clue how or where to install it. it seems like winterboard but i'm not sure if its right.

    one more thing.
is there a way to remove some of the weather details? (e.g. pressure, humidity, visibility) their font is just too small and kills my eyes.
also! (forgot it) the widgetweather is using location service all the time, could it be something with the config.js file?
    Thanks again!
    Hi (from London now),

To get rid of the things you don't want you need to do some small editing in the css file, don't worry it's very easy to do:

    1. Go to "UniAW6.4_iW/Css/Main" folder and open the correct css file for your phone (UniAW6_iph4 for iph4 or 5 for iph5).

    2. Lets start with the pressure, you need to find the settings for it, look for "#pressure{", at the end of it's settings you will see opacity: 1.0; Just change it to opacity: 0; (thats a zero). Thats it gone from the screen, be sure to leave the semi-colon after the zero.

    3. Do the exact same thing with #humidity, #visibility, #rising and anything else you want off the screen. Most things are set in alphabetical order to assist you.

While you are in their, you might also want to make the font size bigger for some things too, instead of 12px, try 14px.

If your nervous about it, just make a back-up of the file before you start.

If you never change location you can switch of WidgetWeather and MyLocation (if you have it) in the settings, you don't need MyLocation app if you have the latest WidgetWeather app as the new version also updates the MyLocation text file (which the iWidget uses).
If you are constantly changing location and want the widget to change to your new location then just leave it on in the Location Services - no problem with this, mine hasn't been off for years

If you get stuck just ask here, I'm going to sleep now but I'm sure someone will help you out.

    Good luck.

thanks a lot Ian, haha have a safe trip! and good night
i currently use only LHTML3, seems to be easy enough to manage everything, but for some reason bugs are appearing every few screen locks and such ( the weatherinfo background doesn't want to disappear, analog calendar doesn't appear, and all sorts of not doing what the config.js is support to tell it to do)

but its late, we will see about it tomorrow i guess
    good night!

Yes, I think the touch events are not working and all the stuff you mention is disabled via the onscreen menu when you tap the daisy, but if the touch function isn't working.....!

touch function is working, all the other stuff are not related to the touch, or maybe more likely the onscreen menu doesn't have all the functions there so you can choose the exact settings you like (aka disable specific background and not all of them)

Ok...thx....please mention him also, it takes a lot of hours and patience to adjust all the CSS and size/positions for an iwidget....I know how tidious it can be, so I thought about him, Marty, and nateD!!

As always Ian, Dacal, and Drifter.

That's good, cocco....I've seen where people will take others work and change a frame and call it their own, maybe sell it on a theme, too.

I speak on what I've seen in the past. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I've seen other stuff you've used and people weren't mentioned.

It's no big issue, just a little reminder to acknowledge people's time and effort.

    another screenie,
