    I used my bundles folder from my Lumo theme. I think the size is no good or maybe some name changes, tomorrow.
    yes the icons size can be a problem in that case.. lot of application will accept 118x120.. but some other apps will not accept this size.. everything must be 120x120 to have a clean setup

    Thanks pal.

    I had a look in the phone:
    system/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mobileicons.framework, seems it no longer has an [email protected], looks like only one mask file now (AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png). Maybe need to redo my mask.

    Thanks guys, got a job for tomorrow, might also try that new path.

    Mask do not work the same way as they used to in ios 6. IOS 7 is much different is you mask then it will be ghost like right now you will have to make either a bundle method or folders. This is for all app not just the cydia apps. if you want the full icon frame to show up correctly.

    Does it then become as simple as importing the AppIconShadow and AppIconMask from iOS 6 themes, then importing those two pngs as separate layers into Photoshop and then flattening the image and re-exporting as a single png? Or am I oversimplifying?

    To turn off the animated weather go to Mobile Substrate Addons and switch off the "SBAW" option ( Instructions are inside of InstrutcionInstall.txt file)

    You can use SBSettings or iCleaner. You can find it on Cydia.

    Ian, the mask will no longer display your frame or shadows. And now gets applied to ALL apps, stock, Cydia, and AppStore If you want that frame on your icons, you'll need to manually frame every icon in Photoshop make the canvas size 120x120px

    Also, you can rename that [email protected] file to AppIconMask2x.png so it never gets called at all, and only shows your "created" icons.

    Don't you think, MJ, going forward that icon/theme designers would still make an icon mask that would cover every icon - it'll just be more elaborate involving the shadows, etc.… And then all icons that are made and distributed would be "unmasked" covering the entire 120 x 120? The updated winterboard will be able to apply the single (fully shadowed in PS) mask to all icons…?? Don'g you think that's the best way going forward especially when you're thinking about a full theme that you'd want the same mask on every icon?

    You actually need iCleaner Pro to switch mobile substrates off and on… which is not available from regular Cydia… You have to download it from a special repo.

    Grant. The new mask acts differently then what you're used to. It's not capable of showing color. It only is capable of adjusting the transparency.

    If you make a 120x120 solid square. Blue, red, green, black, purple. Color doesn't matter. Any color = seeing the icon underneath.

    Make a 120x120 TRANSPARENT png, and the icon gets masked completely. Completely hidden.

    Now make a square that's 50% transparent. And you'll see 50% of your icon. Color makes no difference. You can make your mask "MJPink" and it looks no different than a black one or white one.

    Hmm.. Now maybe because the "auros" design ethos was a grayscale vibe, maybe that's the reason I experienced this… But when I took the auros app icon mask and placed in iOS 7 in mobile frameworks it looked almost exactly like it did in iOS 6. You think the grayscale auros thing is the reason that it looked nearly identical ? And thanks for the education MJ..

    MJ is 100% correct, I've been playing a lot, you just need one file (AppIconMask@2x~iphone) and all it is is a mask, more or less just good for cropping a shape around your icon, tried with grad fils on the bottom of the mask and a shadow on the icon but can't get it nice, the shadow comes out with sharp edges no matter what I try.
    Please ignore the mess of my phone, I just did the 2 icons (camera & photo's and they still look pretty crappy), so have a lot of work ahead but it's pretty quick once you dig in.

    I use SBSettings no problem, don't know about memory leak King, didn't know it had an issue in IOS6 either, used it for all the time I was on IOS6.

    Running multiple widgets on your SpringBoard in the SBAW dylib Wynd made for us is easy. The ole 'piggyback method' will get the job done quite nicely.. Make as many of the 'object's' as you see in the code below. Just make sure all your widgets are in their own folder in the var/mobile/SBAnimatedWeather folder - and then one single HTML file named Widget.html is the only file in the directory itself (see below).

    Reference each widget's folder in a separate object line.. in this code that needs to be in the main Widget.html doc.

    Code:
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/></head>

    <body onLoad="onLoad();">

    <object data="WIDGET FOLDER 1 HERE/Widget.html"  type="text/html" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 320px; height: 568px; z-index:1; display:;"/> </object>

    <object data="WIDGET FOLDER 2 HERE/Widget.html"  type="text/html" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 320px; height: 568px; z-index:2; display:;"/>

    </object> <object data="WIDGET FOLDER 3 HERE/Widget.html"  type="text/html" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 320px; height: 568px; z-index:3; display:;"/> </object>

    <object data="WIDGET FOLDER 4 HERE/Widget.html"  type="text/html" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 8px; width: 320px; height: 568px; z-index:4; display:;"/> </object>

    </body>

    </html>

    Here is an example. (And YES, it is hot pink just to prove a point )

    Entire icon. 100% (no opacity) - the entire stock icon will show through this part
    Top circle 0% (completely transparent) - NOTHING will show here.
    Middle circle 50%
    Bottom circle 75%

    Back up your [email protected], and replace it with this one so you can see it on your phone.

    FYI, this file has been around for a LONG time. in IOS 6, it was the one that was NEVER used. All themers just used to put a white file in for this one. If you go into some old themes, You'll see that there were previously three files that completed the icon mask, but this is the one that NO ONE ever used.

    This is how it was in ios6

    AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png - Controls the icon image displayed, anything BLACK is not shown (gives the appearance of the nicely rounded corners) While anything WHITE is SHOWN
    AppIconOverlay@2x~iphone.png - Provides a glossy overlay look like the Default icons have (it works sometimes and then it doesnt)
    AppIconShadow@2x~iphone.png - Provides a subtle shadow below the icon image

    Now apple has negated the two latter files, and the first file is no longer a white vs black.... it is levels of transparency.

    If you try the icon mask I posted, you'll get a better understanding.

    Guys,

    You see from the screen shots above I was playing with the widget, I made a screen cast of me doing this, basically taking the standard dylib widget from post 1 and turning into the above shots.

    I just thought this would come in handy for the beginners in css, Iv'e see a few asking "how I move this & that?". Most of you guys here won't want to watch it, it's very basic stuff, there is no sound, just watching as I move things around, it might be a start for some you you!

    I'm uploading it now but it's going to take a couple of hours and it's already 2:30am here so I will post the link tomorrow.
