Thread: UniAW6.0 for iph4 & iph5

  1. #12221
    They are indeed. But we're all waiting to see what wonderful new things can be brought to UniAW for iOS 7, bro. Mainly that it's compatible at all levels with the new jailbreak.
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    You can do what nateD says or, do this to "add" a "today" icon:

    1st, as in the standard UniAW6 versions, you should already have several icon sets in the "Icon Sets" folder, they will be named 1.png, 2.png etc...

    In html file add this:
    Code:
    <div id="Day0Container">
    		<table border="0" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" align="left">
    			<tr valign="middle"><td><img id="Day0Icon" src="Icon Sets/blank.png"/></td><td id="Day0desc"></td></tr>
    		</table>
    	</div>

    In the .js file (accuweather, yahoo...) add this: somewhere in the dealWithWeather function:
    Code:
    document.getElementById("Day0Icon").src = "Icon Sets/"+iconSet+"/"+AdjustIcon(obj.icon, where)+".png";

    Again in the .js files add this way down the end somewhere (as it's own function, not within an existing function):

    Code:
    function AdjustIcon(icon, whereTmp) {
    	switch(whereTmp) {
    		case "day":
    			if (icon == 27) { icon = 28; }
    			if (icon == 29) { icon = 30; }
    			if (icon == 31) { icon = 32; }
    			if (icon == 33) { icon = 34; }
    		break;
    		case "night":
    			if (icon == 28) { icon = 27; }
    			if (icon == 30) { icon = 29; }
    			if (icon == 32) { icon = 31; }
    			if (icon == 34) { icon = 33; }
    		break;
    	}
    	return icon;
    }

    In the css file(s) add this and adjust to your own position & size:
    Code:
    #Day0Container {
    	position:absolute;
    	top: 332px;
    	left: 140px;
    	height: 62px;
    	width: 300px;
    }

    #Day0Icon{
    	position: relative;
    	top: -4px;
    	height: 50px;
    	width: 50px;
    }

    I think that's everything you need. You could also add a switch for this option in the config file.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!
    Ian i did all that and the widget stop working no animation no clock all gone i don't know why i did the other way what nate told me but the weather icons don't show on my wall even i add z-index to show on the wall and still nothing

    I just tried this in Yahoo side of PP version, seems to work (see screen shot below with icon visable in bottom center of screen) BUT it's a daytime icon (Yahoo issue)!!

    I will look again later.

    I attach the files here so you can look where I put the code.

    Got to run, 8 minutes to midnight here!

    Good luck.

    Hi pal,

    I had another look this morning, the lines of code are different for Accuweather & Yahoo, I didn't try with WidgetWeather version, but I think it's the same as the Yahoo line.

    So in the "UniAW6.accuweather.js" file the line of code should be like this to get the correct icon showing:

    Code:
    document.getElementById("Day0Icon").src = "Icon Sets/"+iconSet+"/"+convertAccuIcon(obj.icon)+".png";

    In the "UhiAW6.yahoo.js" file it should look like this:

    Code:
    document.getElementById("Day0Icon").src = "Icon Sets/"+iconSet+"/"+AdjustIcon(obj.icon)+".png";

    NOTE: The above is for using the icons in the "Icon Sets" folder, i.e named 1.png, 2.png etc..

    If you want to use static images as big icons and they are named e.g "day_clear.jpg", "night_clear.jpg" etc.. then you need something like this:

    Code:
    document.getElementById("Day0Icon").src = "Images/name_of_your_folder/" + where + "_" + filename + ".jpg";

    Or do as nateD suggested & just replace the fullsceenWeatherWall images with your own images/icons but keen the names the same. If they are different type just change all references to fullscreenWeatherWalls in the .js files to the correct type (.png or .jpg)

    You could also add a switch for this in the Config.js file by adding this to it:

    Code:
    var ShowCurrentWeatherIcon = true; // true or false to show or hide the icon for the current weather condition.

    And adding this to all the lines of code above:

    Code:
    if (ShowCurrentWeatherIcon == true) {
    lines of code goes here
    }

    Sorry you're having trouble but I don't know how else to help without seeing what you've done.
    Is it possible to send me a link to your mod + the icons you wish to use?
    If so please also tell me exactly what you want to accomplish, i.e. disable fullscreenweatherwalls and use icons instead or add icons for current condition.

    Glad you got it working, looks great.
    Can't comment on the few seconds delay, I stick with AccuWeather all the time, I wouldn't worry too much as most people will kinda stick with one or the other and not change constantly.

    PS, draw temporary straight lines on the analog clock face from 3 to 9 & 12 to 6 to position the hands & node in the center of the clock face either by moving the clock face or the hands & node.
    BTW, you can move all hands and node together with the "#analogclock" setting in the css, but you need to add "position: absolute;" to it first, then top: xxpx; & left: xxpx;
