    So astounding, Bacardi. There's no limit to your creativity. What settings did you use to make sure the icons aligned perfectly with the shelves? 48x48 spacing? 50x50? What do we set our icon grid to in View Options on the mac?

    Hi all,

    I'm in the Philippines, but have been stuck in Cebu for 2 days now, been stocking up on some supplies (including 3 generators), good news is I got a ticket on a boat tonight so will be on my way soon. I have been informed that the electric will be out for up to 6 months at home plus gasoline is in very very short supply, even if I can get gas for my generator there will still be no internet so will have to get use to a different way of living, I plan to stay until after the new year.
    Thanks to all of you for the kind words you posted.

    Rainyday.js Update:

    While I was here (still have electricity here in the main city of Cebu, things here are pretty much normal) I had a look at the rainyday script from "Marek Brodziak" but couldn't get it working without a direct link to a background image, in the UniAW all background images are coded in containers or containers of containers, the rainyday script doesn't work like this and I'm not sure how to make it work, so I emailed Marek and he has very kindly offered to help out, he will make a new version for us and pass it to me about Thursday, problem is I'm not going to be able to get it until the next time I come to Cebu city.

    @ Simon, I remembered you saying something about a conflict with the jquery files, actually I have the rainyday script working without the jquery file, it just worked after I removed it so not too sure why it's their but we will see how things go.

    Seemingly Marek has had a similar ticket raised in github, so he will be killing 2 birds.
    It's an excellent & very complex piece of script far beyond any of our humble skills so very happy Marek is helping us as it looks like it was made for the UniAW.

    @ Grant,
    I purchased a Zoom R24, it's good enough for my needs and surprisingly inexpensive, plus it works on batteries too.

    Mavericks 7.1 beta is out.

    @Ian, it's a difficult situation for many, many people affected....I read about the chaos and the suffering that people are still going thru....I pray that things continue to get better logistically so that the people in serious need get help as soon as possible.....

    Ya, I tried on the weekend again and did get it up and running on a older UNIAW (6.2) but like you said only with a hard coded wallpaper. Seems it just doesn't function without something real behind it to make the drops. So still havent got it working with any of the uniaw wallpapers because of the containers. Maybe I can contact the dev and see if he can forward on what he is sending you to me as well to experiment with. Least of your worries right now though bud, take care of you and your family, best of luck.

    Sounds like a good idea Simon, you can get his email from GitHub, but please only Simon, don't need him getting bombarded with emails.
    I found the best settings for the blur to be 4, or -1 if you want no blur.
    Here is the settings I use:

    Code:
    var engine = new RainyDay({
    					element: 'test',
    					blur: 4,
    					opacity: 1,
    					fps: 25
    				});
    				engine.trail = engine.TRAIL_DROPS;
    				engine.VARIABLE_GRAVITY_ANGLE = Math.PI / 4;
    				engine.rain([ [1, 1, 10], [3, 3, 1] ], 100);
    Here is a link to the TimedWalls only theme I was using for testing this, it has the rainyday.js code added into the widget.js file already. We need it working with "element: WPContainerTW'," instead of "test".

    Wonderful addition to UniAW.. Yeah.. the Zoom was a good choice, Ian. Glad you can capture the live stuff now..

    But as others are are saying. Getting your family situation straight is priority ONE. You know we're all pulling for you. You'll make some amazing new relationships and memories in this next several months as "I KNOW" you'll apply the same selflessness to your friends and neighbors as you do for us here.

    Blessings, my friend!

    Thanks Grant,

    For the money I couldn't believe what that little Zoom can do, 24 track (8 track simultaneous recording), built in effects, built in 24 voice sampler, Rhythm and metronome functions and can be used as an interface/controller, works on batteries for 4hrs, awesome value. Not the most professional looking/feeling thing, it's the perfect candidate for "don't judge a book by it's cover".

    Hi Gang, i hope everyone doing well

    Here my share for tonight

    New Uniaw First Class Edition for 1280x800

    - Added a Folder inside the Package called : PSD ( you can find the WeatherInfoBG.psd & Clock.psd )
    - Did the WeatherInfoBG psd for 2560x1600 ( big enough if you want to play on your screen dimension )
    - I will try to make all the Screen dimensions as possible for beginners

    Download Link : UniAW6_FCL

    P.S : did a Pink version also for Ladies in P.Y.M thread

    Edit : to get the brushed metal menubar to fit the setup, you will need the application "Flavours" and search for "Brushed Metal"

    For the Dock i use "Dockmod" application you can customize your own

    to match everything with the Uniaw setup

    From the very first day I heard the ZOOM for guitar sound processing without an amp, back in the mid 90s, I was absolutely blown away about what this company was trying to accomplish with "don't judge a book by its cover" minimalist approach to things.

    When I heard they had gotten into audio interfaces for digital recording I knew immediately that it would be a quality product in the most amazingly small package.

    But they don't chinse on the parts on the inside. The converters they use for all analog-to-digital conversion are the same little chips they use in the high-end Apogee products.

    The more I read about that one the more I want to have in my arsenal. I have about six or seven different audio interfaces for various sized projects I do. I think I want to add this one into my collection too.

    Peace, M8!
    Grant
