The one that is a minute by minute snapshot is called weather.log. The WidgetWeather XML (without the word "raw" in it) only updates when Yahoo senses a new city. The weather.log could be used, I believe, for coordinates every 100m if we could jQuery into it. And could be used for widgets in the SB and LS. That was my challenge for you. But even better would be the file called GPS.log which Stephen discontinued after version 1.4-7 of WW. It was a minute by minute printing of lat/long.
    Ahh, now I get it!
    Sorry, but I think this misunderstanding was based on my ignorance about the raw file, did not know something like this existed. The same for the log files.
    I thought there was just the xml file (no raw in the filename!) and that's it.
    If there is a file that has no encrypted content then you can get that content or part of it with jquery.

    Is a WOEID that updates every 100m or so exact enough from which to get an accurate city from Google or WU? Or is WOIED a Yahoo based thing?
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    WOEID (Where On Earth IDentification)
    A WOEID is a unique 32 bit reference identifier assigned by Yahoo! to identify any feature on Earth.

    Just helping out Bacardi85 with the Mac version (yes I haven't positioned the feelslike yet) and still got all the animations to do.
    Bacardi85 will redo the css to his tastes, I just want to get all things working & resizing correctly.
    Just started so lots to do yet but the timedwalls look quite good.
    Everything will resize to fit all screen sizes automatically.

    Looking good. I think I figured out what is wrong with my Mac, bad sata cable due to my SSDs need for maximum bandwidth power, but should be good to go in time for this. Thanks for the hard work Bacardi, Ian, RKO, and I suppose NewD. Anyone else involved, much appreciated.

    @Bacardi. Have you tried Mavericks OS? Does candybar still work? I'm debating if I want to update yet. Also, looks like my Mac is fixed, installed new sata cable and all is well.

    unfortunately candybar doesnt support Mavericks yet.. the dock section in candybar is no longer working on OSX 10.8.5 or higher.. i hope they will update soon.. well lot of application that user creating.. won't work anymore, except if they did a update to support Mavericks, i'm still on 10.8.5, if you update, you might need to change the icons manually

    I figured as much. Was just curious if anyone updated and tried candybar to change their icons.

    I didn't like Lion but Mountain Lion is great. What I like about Maverick, from what I read, is it seems to be way more efficient from a memory standpoint. Some people are claiming as much as 1gb of free ram.

    Hey Ian thanks for the help. I am using Marty's WigetWeather theme. There is no UniAW-accuweather.js file. There is just the UniAw6.js file. I look inside the js file but I couldn't find it.

    I'm changing weather walls all the time, lol....and here's a new overlay I made.

    I can't share the dock, from Edgy, but I pasted it on the overlay.....Use a transparent dock for this.

    Ok, I'm not familiar with that mod & not sure how Marty coded the AccuWeather/Yahoo side, If he used the same "Sunset/Sunrise format" code for both then you can do nothing, but if they are separate then in the AccuWeather part you need to look for something like this:

    Code:
    // SUNSET/SUNRISE FORMAT
    		var sunriseh = parseInt(obj.sunrise.split(':')[0]) + GMT;
    		var sunrisem = obj.sunrise.split(':')[1];
    		var sunseth = parseInt(obj.sunset.split(':')[0]) + GMT;
    		var sunsetm = obj.sunset.split(':')[1];
    		dayhour = sunriseh + parseInt(sunrisem)/60;
    		nighthour = sunseth + parseInt(sunsetm)/60;
    		DurationOfDay = nighthour - dayhour;
    		DurationOfNight = 24 - DurationOfDay;

    Now you can change it to look like this (if AccuWeather is one hour advanced):

    Code:
    // SUNSET/SUNRISE FORMAT
    		var sunriseh = parseInt(obj.sunrise.split(':')[0]) + GMT -1;
    		var sunrisem = obj.sunrise.split(':')[1];
    		var sunseth = parseInt(obj.sunset.split(':')[0]) + GMT -1;
    		var sunsetm = obj.sunset.split(':')[1];
    		dayhour = sunriseh + parseInt(sunrisem)/60;
    		nighthour = sunseth + parseInt(sunsetm)/60;
    		DurationOfDay = nighthour - dayhour;
    		DurationOfNight = 24 - DurationOfDay;

    Hey Ian thanks for the help. Unfortunately the accuweather part is not separated so when I change the gmt the yahoo weather sunrise time also changes. Maybe I will message Marty to see if he can fix it. Thanks again.

    Ok, so Marty used the same code for both, it's also what I would have done.

    Wait, I have an idea, I'll be back....

    Ok, replace the section of code I posted above with this:

    If your code is not the same as this or you don't have the "UseAccuweather" switch in your Config.js file please let me know exactly what you have.

    Code:
    // SUNSET/SUNRISE FORMAT
    		if (useAccuweather == true){
    		var sunriseh = parseInt(obj.sunrise.split(':')[0]) + GMT-1;
    		} else {
    		var sunriseh = parseInt(obj.sunrise.split(':')[0]) + GMT;
    		}
    		var sunrisem = obj.sunrise.split(':')[1];
    		if (useAccuweather == true){
    		var sunseth = parseInt(obj.sunset.split(':')[0]) + GMT-1;
    		} else {
    		var sunseth = parseInt(obj.sunset.split(':')[0]) + GMT;
    		}
    		var sunsetm = obj.sunset.split(':')[1];
    		dayhour = sunriseh + parseInt(sunrisem)/60;
    		nighthour = sunseth + parseInt(sunsetm)/60;
    		DurationOfDay = nighthour - dayhour;
    		DurationOfNight = 24 - DurationOfDay;

    Thanks, Ian, for jumping in. I was enjoying the challenge of helping Bacardi getting the animations right for the large screen - was making progress - but I'm still a miserably slow coder. It's good to have "the Master" taking it over the finish line. . Thanks!!

    Another big challenge I'm hoping you can undertake is to make it run lean enough that it doesn't run my laptop fan to the highest speed the whole time UniAW is running in Live Wallpaper.

    Hi Grant,

    Actually I'm not working with the original version, I decided it was easier for me to start from scratch (because I was unaware of all the modification already carried out & things weren't working correctly) so that's what I did.

    It's difficult to make it run lean, on bigger monitors we need more of everything (clouds, drops etc), I guess it will be up to the user to switch off birds, balloons etc, heck, the UniAW has almost every choice we can think of, if after switching off as much as you want it still runs rich, then I guess uninstall it!

    Anyway, once it's out I'm sure we will be tweaking it for a few weeks so we'll see what happens.
