Well you told me your sun and moon didn't travel the distance of the panorama until I talked to you about it.. And I'm doing the static clouds too which i don't think you have done yet.. in your most recent version..

Mine is also way thinner on resources (no 425MB) LOL!.. It's two separate Wb themes; MJ's 30 minute Pano Walls and UniAW6.21_WB anim only with certain rotating elements. My mod is designed to be simply added to any version of UniAW and any set of timed walls that runs with NO weather info of any kind. So it's crazy lean on memory.. It's a TIMED WALL-Only, Animation Only back drop against which you can add iWidgets for weather info itself. So yes.. you indeed have 95% of the moving parts of mine and I'm grateful for our brainstorm from the other day, Simon!!
Right now the StarBackground image at 1029px and the Static Cloud 1029 you sent me are getting all squished into a 320px container somehow. Looks really weird. Trying to track that down..

Also - since I have two WB elements running Panoramic at the same time, there is, after 18 hours or so, a lost of synchronization between the two.. Even though I have both set to 160.0s - there must be a different size of photo used in MJ's walls.. than 1029..
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

Ya, was you mentioning it that motivated me to get it done. Still haven't done the static clouds in mine yet no, been a little focused on something else I've been working on and was refining the up/down movement in the framed iwidget I did up. Not sure if it will help you with this or not but it is the same kind of concept and I ended up going a completely different route with it that made the movement stay in sync and was way more efficient. I ended up putting every element I wanted to move in a container I called PanoContainer. That allowed me to only have to use the pano animation once instead of applying it to each individual element.

Yeah.. the container containing multiple containers is a good way to go.. But at least the stars creation method needs a different way of coding to get the createAstar thingie to work across a 1029px width. Changing the width of the container in a css definition doesn't do it. Tried. Then there's the 'variable' I want - in the config.js to turn it on and off. That's accomplished on in an IF statement in the js. So what I'm doing I think is a smidgen more complex than can be accomplished in the containers in a container method. But I will stare at my code for a while and see if I can reimagine it with that method.

    Thanks, Simon!
I LOVE your Lockscreen.. I have seen a repeated picture yet in 2 weeks. LOVE all those different walls... Great idea..

Didn't I do the stars already too though in my one? I think it was in the js that I had to set the width of the animated stars to wider, or the range of the width I should say. can't check right now though.

Grant I know what you're trying to do.
I suggested what I did because if you increase the star container width the js will already create stars to fill that container size. Then you only need add larger background image/s and use whatever scrolling animation you're going to do on that. What you're trying is creating a lot more work for you for likely the same effect as what I suggested. My way you're adding a few minimal things to your true false switch and it works.

Cool! Thanks, D.. I'll "make it so".. The reason I pushed back there was that I tried it basically the same way as you suggested - but before I started the switch code where I define the style elements in the .css only - without using the js at all. The stars did 'not' fill the new space.. until I changed that one line in the js from (10, 310) to (10, 1029).. That's why I thought I'd ultimately need to do the switch in the weather js's themselves so when the switch was set to off the stars would only fill 320px width.. I'll try it again - precisely as you suggest...

For those watching me do this -- please also understand that I was originally approaching this mod on a more 'convoluted' route - because I was trying to make 'several css and js files' that could be added to ANY existing UniAW mod to make everything panoramically work. There are things you do to simplify entries when you're going to release a 'single mod'. I was trying to create 'additive' docs that could be downloaded and placed in existing mods - and then switched on simply by adding a couple lines of code in the head of the html and one line in the config.js.

That's why I've been going this route. It's proving more convoluted than I anticipated.. So I'll prolly, for my first real release, just make it a single mod.. Until I'm more comfortable with the code.

Again would like to thank everyone involved in making uniaw! Its a nice addition to my phone that I enjoy! Maybe I'm asking a silly question because no one has replied yet but just wondering if its possible to make the sun and moon smaller! I searched but can't find anything! Thank you!

  25. #8216
Yes my panos are 1920x1080, so rather than squishing them, the CSS moves them -30 up for iPhone 4 (off the screen) math here is this

    1080/2 =540

    iPhone 4 size is 480 (960/2)

540-480 = 60 so split that in half is 30. So the top 30 and the bottom 30 px are hidden.

    For iPhone 5:
    Little more complicated

Leaving out the math, those photos are proportionally resized to 1029x588

    I may adjust that.

    Hi Grant,

I'm not sure what you used to start your mod, but all UniAW6 has the starsBGContainer defined in the html AND the main css files, the style sheets that has the starsBG are only in the individual weather css files.

    Hi nik,

I don't have that mod, in fact I can't get almost any mod here but this sounds like the same old issue discussed a few times, if the mod uses a link to wallpaper via jpegifier then you need to install jpegifier, or you can try re-naming the "Widget.html" to "Wallpaper.html".
Unsure how else to help without seeing the code.

just open the sun/moon/sunray/moonray (all the sun/moon files) in some photo editing software and resize the "IMAGE", leave the canvas size original, only adjust the images within the canvas.

I never got the math for how you got 1029. I just know your walls look super clean at that setting so I started using that size too

Well, it's a typo in the CSS that stuck. However, the panoramic moves 709 pixels, so 1029 leaves the last 320px showing at the ending the animations. So there's no black space.

    With that math 1029/1920=0.5359375

0.5359375x1080=578 so the height is 578, but you don't notice a 10px stretch. Hence the 588 in the sizing.

Then, the i4 takes that 588 and moves it -44px up.
