    Wasn't me. Looks like blkcadi did it. Guess she thought it was worthy of being a sticky (she'd be right )

    Using my iPod to test it. Right now the mask is being applied to each different element. So not perfect, see left side is not quite aligned. Trying to figure out a way to just apply it once to entire widget.

    Ian has applied the WebKit fadein to all the different elements so wouldn't think it was possible to apply once otherwise he would've done it.

    True that. I just tried applying it once, didn't work though. Back to doing it individually and trying to line em all up lol.

    Hello, I would like to know, if possible, where modify this magnificent witget to detect me where I am faster, then takes about an hour and a half or two hours to detect when zone change me where I am, and another question if possible, which I also mark the province where I find part of the neighborhood or area where I am? if you can not, grace and greetings

    P. D. sorry for my poor English, thanks to google translator

    Default Mask tutorial (short)
    Ok, I see Simon and maybe others are trying some stuff using containers that have a radius setting, this does not work with "overflow: hidden;" (at least not to my knowledge) So what you have to do is use a mask, I will try to explain how:

    I take the UniAW6.3 as an example, and I am going to assume you want all the weather animations + sun & moon inside the mask.

    So 1st, in the html file we need to wrap the animations + sun/moon into a container, lets call it "maskContainer".

    If you are using the LS version you will have to move the "optionsContainer" container up above the ""sun_moonContainer (are you lost yet LOL..)
    Here is the finished code with the new maskContainer (in red) (and notice I also moved the optionsContainer up):

    Code:
    <div id="optionContainer" class="fade-out-option">
    	<div id="refresh" class="TextColorBlue"></div>
    	<div id="timedwall" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    	<div id="slideshow" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    	<div id="hideweatherInfo" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    	<div id="hideweatherBG" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    	<div id="hideclock" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    	<div id="disableforcasttouch" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    	<div id="windeffect" class="TextColorWhite"></div>
    </div>

    <div id="maskContainer">
    <div id="sun_moonContainer">
    	<div id="arcmoon"></div>
    	<div id="arcmoonray"></div>
    	<div id="arcsun"></div>
    	<div id="arcsunray"></div>
    	<div id="arcsunray1"></div>
    	<div id="moon"></div>
    	<div id="moonray"></div>
    	<div id="sun"></div>
    	<div id="sunray"></div>
    	<div id="sunray1"></div>
    </div>

    <div id="astronautContainer"></div>
    <div id="frameContainer"></div>
    <div id="fogContainer"></div>
    <div id="big_balloonContainer"></div>
    <div id="small_balloonContainer"></div>
    <div id="cloudContainer"></div>
    <div id="dropContainer"></div>
    <div id="circleContainer"></div>
    <div id="wiperContainer"></div>
    <div id="meteorContainer"></div>
    <div id="windContainer"></div>
    <div id="windmillContainer"></div>
    <div id="starContainer"></div>
    <div id="starsBGContainer"></div>
    <div id="birdsContainer"></div>
    </div>
    So, easy peasy so far yes?

    Now lets do the css:
    Code:
    #maskContainer{
        background-color: transparent;
    	top:0px;
    	left:0px;
    	height:568px;
    	width:320px;
    	position:absolute;
    	-webkit-mask-box-image: url(Mask.png);
    	z-index: 120;
    }
    Notice the url for the Mask image?? With this url we need to put the Mask.png file in the same folder as the css files (you can obviously change that if you want)

    Now the image.
    A mask image is a transparent png file with the shape you want filled with black.
    I attach a very poor example here (it's not even the correct size) but it will do for this tutorial.
    So stick this image in the same folder as your css file.
    Now.. you won't be able to see it because in a mask, black is transparent, so in the css settings (for the maskContainer) change the background-color to red (this is just for setting it up, after you are happy, make it transparent again)

    That's it, too easy right? Now all animations + sun/moon will only be visible inside the mask.

    Hope this helps a few of you out and encourages you to try some weird shaped masks.

    Have fun.

    There is a GPS issue with Yahoo too, at 6.3

    cityGPS true neighborhood false

    -citygps-true-neighborhood-false.png

    neighborhood true cityGPS false

    -neighborhood-true-citygps-false.png

    both true

    -both-true.png

    both false

    same...

    Location

    Lat=41.067397
    Long=28.980732

    So all are the same ... Weather info is accurate but the city code is the old var locale code showing, I never entered it anywhere
    City name is the big city no towns or neighboors
    I was receiving different location names for every situation at 6.2

    Awesome. Thanks Ian. Gonna try that out when I get to work. Already had most of that going. Just didn't think to apply it all in one new container and move it all in there. Thanks man

    Oh and thanks Ian. Dang that sounds so much easier than I thought it would be!

    Do you learn these tricks from an online tutorial?

    Just wondering why when I apply this the icons disappears or in other words the widget covers them. Really would like to see those icons on this.

    As I responded in other thread -- iWidgets always run overtop of icons. For icons on top you need the PerPageHTML or Winterboard version.
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    No M8, I saw the guys struggling so I just worked it out right now.

    Problem is I'm not sure if Dacal's cookie has to come into play, don't think it does but then again I have been wrong a million times in the past.

    Simple, it's because i have removed an option that was in 6.2 to keep the city provides by GPS localization in every case. This option has weird effect in some situations.

    I explain, in your case, the woeid given by your coordinates doesn't work (city not found).

    Yahoo! Weather - Error

    In 6.2, i kept the city name and update the weather with the latest zip code found. In 6.3, i have decided to not keep the city name. Why ? Because in some case, you will have weather information that will not match with the city that is displayed.
