    EDIT: OK, this is just too strange. I can get demo mode only if I close all Chrome windows and just double click LockBackground.html. That opens it in a window of Chrome where where "web security" HAS NOT been disabled! Still can't get location weather information. Need that for any modding at all! Ugh!
    OK, thanks to Dacal for sorting me out on this one! See this post "Test Your Lockscreen, Springboard or iWidget Using Chrome". Just disabling web security wasn't enough. Also had to add the switch to "--enable-file-cookies". This information is GOLD to me. Don't know how many times I've almost tossed my PC out the window trying to get certain widgets working in Chrome. This was the reason. Sincerest thanks Dacal!

    Fantastic upgrade. Love it. Thank you soo much to Dacal, Ian and everyone else involved.

    I have one query. Can you advise me on how to stop the animation when slide show is enabled or is there too much code to change?

    I know this has barely been out a day and is not reporting as a fault but only a change. As I use Dacals uniaw SE and the animation disables on the sideshow

    Thanks again

    I wouldn't mod it yet M8, there is probably still a few more bugs to fix, give it a day or 2 at least, JMO.

    In the Javascript/Main folder, replace (or just rename it) the touchmove.js file with the one attached to this post.

    The pad under the wrist is a good plan and raised keyboard can work too as King mentioned. But also - the docs will tell you that you should raise your chair up so that your arm is perfectly parallel to the desktop AND a little ABOVE the height of the mouse or track ball. Track ball is also WAAAAY less hurtful to the wrist. I switched YEARS ago when I started having the carpel tunnel -- totally cleared it up.

    Even if your legs don't touch the ground with your chair your arm needs to slant DOWN toward the desk and never UP to it.. Your wrist should never rest on solid surface or be rubbing against it - which is automatic when using traditional mouse too.

    Default UniAW 6.3 (Accuweather) iWidget Beta
    Greetings my UniAW Friends

    Here is the UniAW 6.3 (accuweather) as a beta iWidget for those who wish to run it on your Springboard Page 1 with no Icons

    Since this is currently in beta, I have NOT redone the iWidget options menu, setup is still in the Config.js and with the "Magic Daisy" Pop-up menu.

    For this beta version, I had to extend the Widget.plist to allow for the touch of the Magic Daisy, so this will cover up and not allow touching of any icons below the iWidget for the time being.

    In the Final version, there will be a "Magic Balloon" instead of the "Magic Daisy", so I will then be able to reduce the Widget.plist height to allow for being able to touch the icons below the iWidget.

    I recommend after you activate the UniAW 6.3 iWidget, to move it up a little so the City is just below the Status bar, this will allow you enough room to touch the "Magic Daisy" and not interfere with the Dock touch until I can change it to a "Magic Balloon".

    Here is a Pic of it running on my Springboard:

    Download Here: UniAW6.3_IW_(Accuweather)V3.zip

    Keep in mind, this is only a beta iWidget, it will be refined in the final release

    Cheers

    Edit: Implemented the "Magic Balloon", Download Link changed to V3 to include iPhone 4 and iPhone4s

It still pulls up the menu however. Maybe it's because of where its located.

    Otherwise it's a thing of absolute..beauty.

    All the options work seemlessly.
    How did you get the settings to show up in your screen shot above ?.

    Default Changing Pressure display from millibars to inches
    I know javascript about as well as I know Farsi, which is not at all.
    I've read a lot of code in the past week or so and you guys inspired me to figure this out!

    Was wondering how to change the pressure from millibars to inches.

    Near the bottom of the UniAW.js file are two lines of code that need to be changed.
    This is the section of the code:

    function fetchWeatherData (callback, zip) {
    var url="http://apple.accuweather.com/adcbin/apple/Apple_Weather_Data.asp?zipcode=" + zip + "&metric=" + tempUnit;
    $.get(url, function(data) {
    xmldata = true;
    var obj = {error:false, storage:false};
    $(data).find('CurrentConditions').each( function() {
    if (gps == false) {
    obj.city = $.trim($(this).find('City').text());
    obj.coordinates = "["+zip+"]";
    } else {
    obj.city = city;
    obj.coordinates = "["+ $.cookie('locationCookie').textLat + " " + $.cookie('locationCookie').textLong + "]";
    }
    obj.windspeed = $.trim($(this).find('WindSpeed').text())*1;
    obj.humidity = $.trim($(this).find('Humidity').text());
    obj.icon = $.trim($(this).find('WeatherIcon').text())*1;
    obj.winddir = $.trim($(this).find('WindDirection').text());
    obj.rising = $.trim($(this).find('Pressure').attr('state'));
    obj.visibility = $.trim($(this).find('Visibility').text())*1;
    Replace obj.pressure = Math.round($.trim($(this).find('Pressure').text()) * 33.8638864);
    with this obj.pressure = $.trim($(this).find('Pressure').text());
    obj.realFeel = $.trim($(this).find('RealFeel').text());
    obj.temp = $.trim($(this).find('Temperature').text());
    obj.description = $.trim($(this).find('WeatherText').text());
    });
    obj.sunrise = $.trim($(data).find('Sun').attr('rise'));
    obj.sunset = $.trim($(data).find('Sun').attr('set'));
    obj.forecastday = [];
    obj.forecasthigh = [];
    obj.forecastlow = [];
    // obj.forecastreallow = [];
    // obj.forecastrealhigh = [];
    obj.forecastcode = [];
    var i = 0;
    $(data).find('day').each( function() {
    obj.forecastday[i] = $.trim($(this).find("DayCode").text());
    obj.forecastlow[i] = $.trim($(this).find("Low_Temperature").text());
    obj.forecasthigh[i] = $.trim($(this).find("High_Temperature").text());
    // obj.forecastreallow[i] = $.trim($(this).find("Low_Temperature").text());
    // obj.forecastrealhigh[i] = $.trim($(this).find("Real_Feel_High").text());
    obj.forecastcode[i] = $.trim($(this).find("WeatherIcon").text())*1;
    obj.forecastcode[i] = convertAccuIcon($.trim($(this).find("WeatherIcon") .text())*1);
    i++;
    });
    if (obj.description == "Unknown") {
    obj.description = obj.forecasttext[0];
    obj.icon = obj.forecastcode[0];
    }
    Replace obj.pressureunit = "mb";
    with this obj.pressureunit = "in";
    obj.visibilityunit = (tempUnit == 0) ? "mi" : "km";
    obj.windunit = (tempUnit == 0) ? "mph" : "kph";
    obj.gps = gps;
    obj.timetochangewall = time_to_change_wall;
    obj.lastupdate = currentTimeString+' '+timeOfDay;
    obj.zip = zip;

    Woof..... What a speed you work M8,

    If you look in the images/buttons folder you will see a special button just for you.

    And in the iph5.css file, you will see a #TouchLayer2 that has been commented out, this is the css settings for the iWidget button, just for you M8.

    Thank you so much for this M8.

    I didn't forget M8.
    So does this version cover the icons on SB or is the daisy just for show and the switch some other place?
    What's up with your signature?

    Since Ian has already created a static "Magic Balloon" up Top for me instead of the "Magic Daisy" above the dock, I went ahead and implemented that and changed the Widget.plist height to allow for Icon touching below the iWidget

    Touch the Static "Magic Balloon" below the Status bar now to enable the Magic Options Pop-up

    I have edited the link in my Post above or you can download the UniAW 6.3 (accuweather) V3 Here: UniAW6.3_IW_(Accuweather)V3.zip

    With AccuWeather for all weather data now, I've seen a condition I've never seen before with Yahoo in my small town. It's called "clouds and sun". I knew having AccuWeather would be better, for me :-) I'm not sure if it's a different animation. Probably not. Ian?

    I sure hope there will always be support for this AccuWeather version. And updates.
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    I think it's good to keep the choice and do a all-in-one version.

    For the animations, nothing new for now.

    My themes : Jade HD, Silex HD, BaSalt HD,ToPaz
    All are on Cydia and/or Theme It.

    Good point. More just doing it for me so I know what's involved. i5 is done. Just about to start i4. I have no problem posting a "beta" max mod people can use in the mean time. I can always "Max out" the newer version when that comes out too. Thanks pal!
