    Can't wait to see your version Ian

    Also, Ian, one request: if you are pushing out the 6.3 LS, since we've now moved to OnScreen Menu, can you make sure there is a SB version that includes everything? (Not just an animation only version) since the onscreen menu will not work with SB... Or at least leave all pertinent code in the "animation only" version so users may turn it all back on? Thanks in advance.

    Hey that's awesome! Did you just change the English days to French or did you actually add additional language support?

    [QUOTE=Ian Nicoll;6884583]Google ""css z-index" and you will have this sorted in no time M8, basically it just puts things in layers on top of each other, whichever item has the lower z-index will be underneath items with higher z-index values.

    Good luck.

    Someone can help change it? Thanks

    Not sure if anyone has seen this, but over on the Yahoo Developers area there seems to have been some sort of development with respect to the weather rss feed whereas you can now define the number of days you want the feed to return (up to 10).

    Check out this link: http://xml.weather.yahoo.com/forecastrss/20001&d=5.xml

    The "20001" is obviously the zip code for the city, and d= can be changed to any number from 1-10. Far be it from me to make some sort of earth-shattering discovery on this, but figured it's worth mentioning.

    I didn't see any extra battery drain from the plane mod either which essentially used the same scrolling effect Ian will be using.

    The only sucky thing i've noticed is that the forecast was updated five hours ago? Not sure if it's that big of a deal, but who knows...

    I am excited to try and implement this later although thinking about it, it should be dead simple! Basically just add "&d=4.xml" to the Yahoo URL in UniAW6.js and it should be good to go! They have changed one thing when entering your city code as it doesn't require the underscore and temp unit anymore (ie: _c). So have to look at that.

    I could be missing something but I think this is quickest, simplest way to get everyone back up and running with a 4-day forecast.

    Thoughts?

    Will try implementing it with a switch in config.js where you can set how many day forecast you get

    Per Simon's instructions, "In the main uniaw.css either make the wind container z-index smaller than the weather info one or make the weather info z-index larger. Basically weather info z-index just has to be a higher number than the wind container."

    #WeatherInfo{ /* Container for all weather info displayed on screen */
    position: absolute;
    top: 20px;
    left: 0px;
    width: 320px;
    height: 480px;
    z-index: 60;
    opacity: 0.0;
    -webkit-animation: weather_info_fadein 5s linear 1 normal;
    -webkit-animation-fill-mode: forwards;
    }

    #windContainer{
    position: absolute;
    top: 0px;
    left: 0px;
    width: 320px;
    height: 480px;
    z-index: 110;
    opacity : 1.0; /* opacity of all clouds/fog/haze */
    overflow: hidden;

    Just add "&u=c" to get Celsius and metric units or "&u=f" for Fahrenheit and imperial units.

    Ugggghh.. I hate Yahoo. I don't want there to be a Yahoo solution. It's so innacurate for non-major cities. They even admit it..

    I may end up working with Ras to get an API and use a different service and just remake UniAW work for me with a different weather service. I'm at a point where I just don't trust Yahoo anymore and am tired of only ever seeing cloudy, and mostly cloudy for my hometown year around no matter what's happening outside - when all I have to do is enter Philly (12 miles away from my town as the crow flies) and see all different weather conditions on my screen that match what I see outside. Stick with Yahoo if you must. But I'm movin' on..

    When I get the code rewritten - I'll offer it to the gang here as an 'alternative' to Yahoo.
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    With all the work Ian and Dacal have been doing with Accuweather, it would be awesome if they still released the version where you have a choice of which weather source you wanted.....for everything......current conditions as well as forecast now.

    It would be a crying shame for all of their amazing efforts, work and time to go to waste

    Despite my lack of enthusiasm with Yahoo (who will once again yank this out from under our feet in a few months since they need to keep their API members happy) - I nonetheless appreciate your tireless efforts Marty, and Ian and Dacal and King and Ras who've all been looking into these recodes for us. You guys are TROOPERS and I'm grateful. I was just rooting for Yahoo to 'fail us' for reasons already stated.

    This will not deter us to find a new solution. Actually it makes me want one even more now!

    But it is going to be a Native solution, as it has always made the most sense!
    Widget-Weather App Now Available! Also with MyLocation Support!
    Check out the thread here - Widget-Weather
    To install the Widget-Weather app, just go to Cydia and install. This will also remove MyLocation, as it is built in!
