Well thats not really a problem. So I have test which one looks the best. Can you share your opinion on which one you think is the best quality. Thanks very much.
I'm not too sure to be honest. I havent tried all of them. Between the original "greeny" one and the one I posted I would say my one is the better quality as it was ripped right from a HD youtube video. The 4mb version is better than the 28mb just because it animates faster. Voltage posted a few more though that I havent tried yet that may be just as good too.

Yea.. Interesting. I did notice that in people's screenies too starting a while back.. Good eye! .. But still - we HAVE to find a city auto-refresh option. We just HAVE to. Please, D.. Please, King.. Please Marty.. Please Dacal and Ian.. PEEEAAAASE...

I never said we don't. I just said we need something else that can get your phone to do it as the services are already there.
It's being done just not by us for us which is the problem.

To clarify I never said to leave the current way. That is only the case if a tweak were made to do what we need.
I'm only stating the obvious that if we were able to directly use the services already in our phones we wouldn't need anything else.

Yea, yea.. Fair enough. I'm seeing your point, bro! We're on the same page. It's just when i see you (or anyone) using 'settle for' language - like "Hey all you'd need to do is open the NC..." I just get a mini anxiety attack... Sorry....
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

You must not remember the days of WOEID entry. Yes GPS is better, we've come a long way, but at any given moment, the my location app could stop working, and then what? Just sayin'...

And if native meant that the temps would match what's already in my phone, AND... My gps would always work... (I don't think apple is going to ever stop putting GPS chips in phones...therefore GPS Localization forever) I would be all for it, IF it could update on its own. I don't give a holy crap if the city displays right or not... As long as the temps update automatically. As it was in iOS 5

Bottom line here is this... I'm gonna use whatever is made available to me. You can put in your two cents wherever you want, but bottom line... Unless YOU are gonna do the coding and find a viable option for the iCommunity to use, as Dacal is, you really don't get a say.

Yahoo screwed us... Very true... Now other options are being looked at, but bottom line, the solution that works the best for the MOST people is going to be what is settled on.

You can't please everyone all the time.. But in the end, the coders have to be able to understand their own code to help the users. And sometimes it really comes down to just that. The simplest solution.

Dacal is VERY thorough. He has already coded a complete (and working) Accuweather version of UniAW... I'm running it. The only complaints we are having is the difference in temperatures, BUT every weather service varies. We are analyzing whether this is simply that or whether the code itself has issues.

Now he is looking into yahoo for everything and accuweather for forecast (a mixed version). And we will test that.

Just be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will this.

The code is being rebuilt from scratch... The end result in the screenshots may LOOK the same... But I can assure you this is not just "change a line there, change a line here..."

In the end, as I said... It's gonna be what works for the biggest amount of people the most consistently.

And even if its native, you can gripe, you can complain, but if that's your only option, you will use it... Or have nothing at all. And we all know that no one is going to opt for nothing at all if there is any viable option.

Check out the thread here - Widget-Weather
To install the Widget-Weather app, just go to Cydia and install. This will also remove MyLocation, as it is built in!
Want to protect your JailBreak! Add this repo http://cydia.myrepospace.com/iLEXiNFO/ & Install "iLEX R.A.T."
It will allow you to bring your phone back to a fresh jailbroken state!

But Ras, requiring everyone to get an API, free or not, isn't the long view either, bro.

NOW you're talking. Intriguing. Can it be auto-refreshed?
    Look at this page, http://www.worldweatheronline.com/Ne...w-York/US.aspx
Or when using a zip code http://www.worldweatheronline.com/v2...r.aspx?q=10453
Or like the forecast from accuweather with zip code http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/bro...monyr=5/1/2013
    NO API key needed!!
Like the Long Term Forecast, let lynx fetch that page, sed will strip all the other unwanted code and leave you with just this nice long term forecast, even styled by your own css.
Or just extract the table from accuweather site.
Updated every time you lock the home screen.
It all is possible. No API keys, no xml/json request.

So Yahoo contacted me and complained "why is the UniAW thinking about using Accuweather?", they apologized sincerely and have given us full access to their paid API for free! They just want us to add a Yahoo balloon!

    Should I accept their offer?
