Along with all the other info you see in your weather app on phone.
Technically we only need the woeid, rest is pretty easy to get elsewhere.
On the flip side, it could really get all the info from that plist and we wouldn't need any other service.
Only needs to be decrypted and something to refresh it in the background.
    We need an app/xcode coder...

My themes : Jade HD, Silex HD, BaSalt HD,ToPaz
All are on Cydia and/or Theme It.

Exciting times ahead -- if one of you can build such an tweak to get that data decrypted..
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

Plus it's not the cleanest looking animation. Granted it does look cool but one thing I love about UNIAW is the animations are all very crisp and clean.
ip4 user here a smidge of lag.. well worth it.. gonna look at your other images however.

    Yup
David Ashman could do this for us in probably minutes.
But he is not all that helpful (I'm being nice)
And last I asked him for something we know what happened there...

In fact you were in those early discussions too in his Pages theme thread. When you moved from city to city - you had to 'open' the Native Weather app and then you'd get an update in the widget calling on Native Weather. I'm pretty sure you even admitted that to me about change of city issues. You said iPhone needs the app refreshed. I pretty remember that not even 'temp' would update, in the same city, automatically, without a respring - but I'm fuzzy enough on that point I'll concede to your experience on that one, bro.

Suffice it to say - that for GPS auto-updating - even in iOS5 (and certainly now) Native Weather was(is) not a viable option.
About the city you are correct. But that is because of needing location service which wouldn't update until it was called (opening weather app)
    Then your city would change.
But the current set city would update the weather info.

And native is a very viable option. Download forecast tweak and see for yourself.
It updates and refreshes and changes city.
But is doing what we need a tweak for to run a widget as we can't get that info or set it to use location service/update in the BG

So not too bad on a 4 then huh? That's a good thing. Let me know how those new ones work out for you. The smaller one may be the better to try out.

Yes.. Now I remember. What Blue didn't tell his subscribers was that we needed to set the 'Update Interval' in the app to like '1' minute, though, to get the sense of an 'auto-update' of the temp, though. Those were frustrating days. But thanks for the history lesson . All moot now - since iOS6 doesn't give us ANYTHING reliable - with Native Weather - as is..

What do you mean "forecast tweak"? Is that on Cydia? Does it tap into Apple Native Weather app? Is that what you mean?

"Forecast" from cydia. As seen here. Attachment 639822Attachment 639823

Pulls from native app and refreshes automatically. And has a refresh button right on the lock.

Native is definately the most viable if we can get a little help with hooking into it. It would be seamless!

Thank you for the help. You are an incredible Designer/Coder. I having difficulty finding what you are referring to in the .js file. Even the widgets without forecast fail to load. I would really like to be able to see everything UNIAW 6 v2 has to offer, although foe know I am just running the demo mode. IF anyone has the .js they could upload to enable iwidgets again I would greatly appreciate it. It was only up until 2 days ago when I reset all network settings that I became stuck on the Loading view.

    Weather Elements uses this url
    Code:
    url = 'http://api.wunderground.com/auto/wui/geo/WXCurrentObXML/index.xml?query=' + location;
Not entirely sure how the variable "location" is defined as I only had a quick look through the code. I know that in the Setup webclip html, you can select either a location name, e.g. London, and US zipcode or GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude).
I will install WE again on my iPod and have a look at the database.

    EDIT
LOL was looking in the wrong js file.
OK the variable "location" can be latitude, longitude.

Here an example with the GPS coordinates of New York
    http://api.wunderground.com/auto/wui...96005841970849

If you open the above link you will see an xml response file, please note this line in it
"This feed will be deprecated. Please switch to http://www.wunderground.com/weather/api/"

    Yeah it does
Uses info from the wee weather app shiz so if its themed you get the same as NC
It is also hooked into location service from what I can tell.
Or is using weather app to tie into location service.
But both are running in BG I think it's every 15 minutes or when you hit refresh on the lock screen
Be really nice if he would just help...
