But yeas for a fresh quick update you need to respring along with it.
Personally didn't mind that but it's the main reason I stopped using native weather once I couldn't set a refresh interval.
Had I also know you we're looking at this I wouldn't have gone and wrote it into the gps/woeid script yesterday
I have tried too, this issue is annoying. I have finish to code uniAW with Accuweather, i will stay on it for now to see if it's a good replacement. If not, maybe only use it for the forecast and keep all other informations from Yahoo.

How much time would you say it could take to update after opening the app....worst case scenario? It was about 10 minutes for me and nothing. Then finally after a quick respring i got it. I'm REALLY happy I included the timestamp with the forecast. I knew it would come in handy while troubleshooting . Thanks again for your time Durben. Much respect, appreciation and admiration.
Honestly not even sure how long it takes to update. It does as mine has updated again today after opening weather but I didn't check for about two hours.

And no worries on the native forecast. I was curios to see how it integrated so I did it.
Was more just thinking out loud that I could have done something else but all good my man

As far as native weather not updating at all, that's my experience and a lot of others. Typically same as weather icon 6 tweak. Doesn't update for me either and uses same info.
Mone pretty much only uses native weather for her widgets and tells me hers update fine but they don't on my phone. Same device/firmware as hers.
I downloaded one recently again to see and it doesn't update. You need to respring.

I'm wondering what David Ashman is doing with his forecast tweak.
That is updating on its own and is almost same principle as we used but just as a widget.
He may have a way to refresh weather app in the BG.
    Anyway Dacal, appreciate you man
Really wanted to see if it was a viable option because it was a minimal implementation for the most part.
I just grabbed the uniaw 6.3. Seems fine. Except same issue for me as others with accuweather. Temps are off.
About the same as native weather. But like I said before I'm not bothered. Forecast is nice to see but I won't go crazy without it.

Just to show forecast tweak originally had same refresh issue
But he "fixed" his somehow. Still hasn't done it with weather icon 6 though.

    *edit
I see forecast is hooked directly to weather app. So he is updating the app itself and taking the info from there.
Still something we can't do without a tweak as its encrypted. (Dacal and I looked at it previously) which sucks because that would solve a lot of problems. There's a lot of useable info in that plist

By far the better way... The woeid is in this file, in case of need for more informations... The possibility to read this file could replace the GPS app.

If someone passes by and has a good knowledge in xcode, please do a tweak for us to decrypt the apple weather plist and launch a refresh with a specified interval time...

    exactly that
Would be very very simple after. Location would always be what you phone states. Best solution for all users in my opinion.

Love the new rain effect in Platini's new HOT LS release. Had to play with it a little. Moved it, resized it and added an option to turn it on or off in config.js (ie: var rainbackground=true)....
    UniAW6.0 for iph4 & iph5-photo.png
Thanks again for the share Platini.

    OK, back to the forecast.....

Again, this is just an example. I only added it for the rain condition and iPhone 5. And on demo mode again. May do a whole setup with this added if I get the time tonight. Going to see new Star Trek movie first though

If only I could get a sideways rain on glass stream gif that would look pretty good with the plane window
Hey Simon. Looks really good. I added your files to my LS theme. But I don't know how to get the rain pain to work outside the Demo mod. I am not sure what I have to add or to wear to get it to work. Can someone help me out please. Thanks.

Updated 5/23/2013 -- ALSO, this is made to be used WITH the stock clock enabled or you may download the forecast tweak from cydia.

MJSmash with 30 minute timed panoramic walls??

    Yes...MJSmashPanoramic.v1

MJSmash Panoramic 30 minute timed wall mod with "touch to see tomorrow's forecast" (thanks a lot yahoo) and new "heat index code" by Marty McFly... creds to Chevy (for the original panoramic code from CMC.Ultimate) Bombmom, Ian, Dacal... Usual suspects.

You guys have no idea how many devs, including David Ashman, that I have asked to make me such a tweak. I even offered to pay for it! I rarely even get a response.

Marty, I appreciate you working on implementing the native option. I have been trying to get it all to work, but no go as of yet. I still have a few things that I'm working on, but I'm not holding my breath.

Light rain is probably configured as showers_cloud. You would have to add the rainpane gif code to that too.

Light rain may use "showers_cloud" js and css files, so you would also have to add the gif to them too (if you wanted it to show in such a condition)!.
