    Oh 2k... I may have to really redo that one completely. I'd go back to the default one that installed with the theme. As that one is working. Smash extreme is just all screwed up right now.

    If you are talking about the touch screen one then just do as I did in last post.

    For anyone still having issues, Dacal posted the fix a few pages back but Ian has posted it again here:

    UniAW6.0 for iph4 & iph5

    This will get you back up and running. Instead of a 4-day forecast, you will only have a 1-day forecast (for tomorrow).

    EDIT: Heat Index code coming later today. Just want to run it on my phone for the first half of the day to make sure everything is still working properly.

    So any code that's trying to query anything past tomorrow is breaking things.

    This may be the end of forecast widgets in general.
    The new Yahoo weather app seems to be working just fine with a five day forecast and all, so they just broke it for everyone not named yahoo.

    Hi Marty,

    How does your "Heat Index" work?
    Will it calculate feels like based on humidity for temps over 27º and based on wind speed for temps under 16º?

    Ah ok, sorry about the post then.
    I know the fix is rough, but it gets me up & running again.

    Dacal,

    You know Yahoo also has a free api key like the others, maybe we need this to get access? Yahoo site shows a 10 day forecast!

    I think if we try another option we will need an api key anyway.

    Hi Ian,

    If the current temp is above 27c/80f AND the humidity is 40% or greater, the heat index calculation kicks in and the "feels like" number will be based on humidity and displayed as such. Otherwise, the standard wind chill number will be shown. I don't think we need to worry about that "middle area" you mentioned in your other post (between 16-27c). In that case, the script will be using the wind chill number. Typically when "wind chill" is used in nicer conditions it just shows the same temp as current temp which is accurate in that 'middle area' condition. Sound good?

    So temps below 16º calculate wind chill as well as the heat index with temps over 27º? If so... absolutely perfect M8... Gimmie Gimmie

    Close: Temperatures above 27c/80f AND humidity above 40% - use heat index. Otherwise, use wind chill number.

    That seems to be standard in Meteorology after doing some reading. Easily changed in the code but I think it's working perfectly as is

    EDIT: So in nicer weather, you will see one of two things. If there is no heat index (ie: temp is low, early in the morning, no humidity, etc..), your 'feels like' temp will be the same as your current temp (which is the wind chill number. Totally accurate in this condition). As soon as humidity rises or a heat index condition presents itself, the 'feels like' number will be the heat index number (greater then current temp obviously). Hope that's clear. I feel like I'm not explaining it well

    I'll give it a good test. It's my specialty, just ask Dacal.
    Now hand it over before I get angry.

    Hahaha. OK, why wait. Everyone can test it with me today

    Heat Index Code

    Always back up! Place below code in UniwAW6.js file, near the bottom, after all 'yweathercalls', directly under this line:

    obj.icon = forecast.getAttribute("code");
    }

    ----------------------------------

    // Heat index computed using air temperature F and RH%

    if (tempUnit=="c"){

    if (obj.temp >= 27 && obj.humidity >= 40) {

    obj.temp = 1.80 * (obj.temp) + 32.0;

    var hi = -42.379+2.04901523*(obj.temp)+10.14333127*(obj.humi dity)-0.22475541*(obj.temp)*(obj.humidity)-6.83783*(Math.pow(10, -3))*(Math.pow(obj.temp, 2))-5.481717*(Math.pow(10, -2))*(Math.pow((obj.humidity), 2))+1.22874*(Math.pow(10, -3))*(Math.pow((obj.temp), 2))*(obj.humidity)+8.5282*(Math.pow(10, -4))*(obj.temp)*(Math.pow((obj.humidity), 2))-1.99*(Math.pow(10, -6))*(Math.pow((obj.temp), 2))*(Math.pow((obj.humidity),2));

    var heatindex = Math.round((hi - 32) * .556) + " C";
    obj.chill = heatindex;
    }}

    if (tempUnit=="f"){

    if (obj.temp >= 80 && obj.humidity >=40) {

    var hi = -42.379+2.04901523*(obj.temp)+10.14333127*(obj.humi dity)-0.22475541*(obj.temp)*(obj.humidity)-6.83783*(Math.pow(10, -3))*(Math.pow(obj.temp, 2))-5.481717*(Math.pow(10, -2))*(Math.pow((obj.humidity), 2))+1.22874*(Math.pow(10, -3))*(Math.pow((obj.temp), 2))*(obj.humidity)+8.5282*(Math.pow(10, -4))*(obj.temp)*(Math.pow((obj.humidity), 2))-1.99*(Math.pow(10, -6))*(Math.pow((obj.temp), 2))*(Math.pow((obj.humidity),2));

    var heatindex = Math.round(hi) + " F";
    obj.chill = heatindex;
    }}

    ----------------------------------

    I'm sure the code can be improved upon as you all know I'm fairly new to this. I'm anxious to get Dacal & Ian's thoughts!

    Enjoy!

    EDIT: If you want to test functionality, add these two lines to the top of script and play with the numbers:

    obj.temp = 30;
    obj.humidity = 85;

    - Don't worry about formatting or any other values when testing as some things might appear out of whack. It's just the 'Feels Like' number you want to check.
    - I like to enter the same test values on this page: http://www.csgnetwork.com/heatindexcalcs.html and compare results to make sure all is working well.
    - Just remember when you are entering 'temperature' values, enter them as per what you have set in config (F or C).
    - Also remember to comment the two lines out or remove them completely when you are done testing.

    Where did you find the formula?

    I'm sure it's 42.123583495859385983745928759... roughly.
