I lucked out again. My wife and daughter both are sick and I avoided it, yet again.

Added a custom font (Signerica) from Chevys latest release to a MP mod of UNIAW SB. Seems ok but the bottom of the clock (look at the "5" in the time) is getting cut a bit. Anyone know why this would happen and how to fix?

Same thing happening on my LS version too, but only on the digital clock and single line date. The temp, description and City all display fine.

Change the height of the clock container in the .css. Then lift the top a smidgen.
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

Ok, I'm with you on changing the height (just make the number higher right?), that was what I first tried. What do you mean by lift the top though?

I believe he is refering to the "top" value of the time

I'm sorry, Simon. In my mind - the top value was going to move more down the page when you made the containder itself larger. But if "position: absolute", which it is -- then the position, up and down, on the page of the clock won't move when you change container height. So you're right in your next post where you asked - Won't that change the position of the clock. If "position: relative" then the clock's position ON the page would have moved at the container height change "relative" to the container. Sorry about the confusion.. Let me take a look at your code in the .css that King asked you to post. Though he's pretty fast - he may get there first.

From your pic, even without looking at the code - it looks like this font has a LONG cursive base to the 'number 1'. The container may simply need to be even larger on the 'height'.

I have a feeling just making the container height a higher value itself won't help. I have to move the fonts position within that container. I just don't know how to do that.

Yes, try making the container a little larger. Unless your "temp" container is messing with it, but I don't think so.

    You can try:

    vertical-align: center;

Ian, please see the attached picture.

This was damn hard to take a picture!! Lol!! That is actually a shooting star on my second page. I think the frame size is maybe a touch big on the stars?

    I'm using 6.1 iWidget

Simon - when you get done each update are you 'unpinning' the iWidget and readding it? Or just respringing? With iWidgets you need to unpin them from SB and readd. I'm too lazy to look back to see if this is an SB widget or an iWidget you're working with. The larger container and vertical alignment: center commands should have done the trick. But King's got way more experience. He'll figure it out for you.

Please, King, post your findings here so we can all have the benefit of the 'learning'.

CRAZY cool font, Simon! What's it called - and how, again, did you get the widget to see it? AND HOW did you convert a BytaFont font, which comes in a folder of several elements - to a single .TTF file?

    Thanks!
    Grant

Font name is Signerica Medium I believe. I saw Mone post a LS with it on the elite6 thread. Then Chevy added it to his LS. That's where I got it from and also how to add it to UNIAW. The screenshots I showed above the CSS stuff showed where to put the font and how to get UNIAW to recognize it.

I put that in winterboard versions of UNIAW modded by Max pain, one SB and one LS. The ones he released just after Ian updated UNIAW to 6.1. Then I just replaced max's overlay with my own, a wallpaper with the top punched out of it so UNIAW can be seen through there. All runs fine with papyrus font. Signerica is a lot higher and wider though.

Not sure what that means lol. Still new to all this.
