02-18-2014, 11:56 AM #961
Hi, i have jailbroken iphone 4s with ios 5.1.1, and i refuse to update to ios 7. i want to use nextgenui but everytime i edit icons and move apps around, it never saves after i restart dreamboard or restart the device. How can i save what i edit in nextgenui? im willing to go through ifile and start re-writing things but im not exactly experienced in that field and a little guidance would be useful. thanks
using nextgenui3, unable to update due to ios

Highly recommend updating to iOS 7 anyway, I found that most of the things I used to jailbreak for have been implemented by Apple - and much more stable than their jailbreak counterparts, even if Apple did just steal the ideas!

okay i went to /var/mobile/library/dreamboard and made sure both user and group could read write and execute every folder. the problem still persists of everytime i change the graphics settings or icon locations it will never save after i reboot or restart the theme on dreamboard, however odly, custom color scheme and my location and weither i want 12 or 24 hour time format stays edited after i edit. only icon locations refuse to stay in theyre edited state

Really wanting to buy this but I am worried about lag and battery drain and I don't want to spend $3 if it slows me down
Is there a significant drain in battery or ram?
Or is it hardly noticeable?
Really wanting to hear about how it handles battery and ram

What phone and OS are you running?

To really see the potential of this platform you have to buy D1's Emmiter theme. It's unreal and it's like having a completely different phone.

If your worried about battery and ram, then don't run any type of theme, including WB, LHTML3, Cydgets etc...

Groovy CArrot: Beautiful work. Reminds me of stuff I was doing in design school.
Status Bars. I noticed there is a charge indicator ring around the home node. I can't quite tell if it only reflects a charging state or the current battery level when unplugged also. I also noticed the larger blocks just inside the charge ring fluctuate. Do these indicate wifi or cell signal? It would be great if all these things WERE shown in there as well as a memory gauge...and all more evident than they currently are.
Glitch. I've run into a minor problem where if you have a data node open and scroll to the end of it it will pass the last app and snap back to it. However, when you press on the icon it won't open.
Suggestion. Allow the user to choose font color. The black on black is not working for me.
Suggestion. Need an equally cool lock screen. Perhaps something that springs into shape like the home node when pressed.

Sorry newbie here. Why there is no packages in the groovycarrot beta repo that I successfully added?

The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.
The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

Also, I had a guy got Cloquirk and it automatically installed NGUI dependencies (NextGenUI), and he got the same issue.
The issue is, don't install NGUI from the beta repo. It lets you download it and install, but you don't pay for it. Then, the anti piracy logic kicks in and you can't get it to work.
Uninstall (or don't install) the beta repo yet.
Pay for and install the official NGUI from cydia.
Install the beta repo.
After purchasing/donating any of the themes (Cliquirk, EM1TT3R, etc.,..).
Upon getting your udid to the devs of said themes, you can therefor activate those themes.
The ones included with NGUI are part of NGUI (Legacy and Praxis). Those, you can start with no problem.

I mean, the groovycarrot beta repo is empty. There is nothing inside the repo.
