That's with time allotted. I've been working with photoshop since I was 16 (26 now).

I've only spent the last 2 year studying nursing, and after I graduated spent most of my time taking care of my newborn. 4 months later, only had time to studied for perhaps 1-2 weeks and review everything I've practically forgotten since I graduated.

Either way, I have 45 days till I can take the exam again. I'll work on this theme to give my brain a rest, then begin studying again.

Meanwhile, I have begun to recreate the icon base again (from scratch) and think I'm done. Much more sharper now since I'm using the refinement I did on the last set with new larger vectors. Also by doing this, I can have a cel-shaded and non-cel-shaded version of the icons.

Will recreate the music icon and show you guys.

I was actually just thinking of askin you that earlier, a video of a master at work lol, just a screen record of you building one of these icons would look pretty sweet I think

My machine can barely fun photshop with the huge PSDs I use, let alone a video capture program at the same time running for 1-2 hours straight, haha.

Maybe when I can afford a better laptop

Oh, it's allways bad to feel like that. I feel with you!!!
But don't get it to serious, because it's only an exam you may pass again if necessary. And your feeling about it might be wrong, too because of your emotions during the exam.
So just forget about it as long as you get the result, bro!!!
It doesn't help in any way to burdon your mind with thoughts like that.

I had the same problem...minus the cold. The way they grade, at least ours, is lenient like there are sample questions that don't count but they add them in to see how students answer for possible future exams. You'll be ok. Keep your head up.
