I'm going to give up real soon. So for the longest time I've tried the weather on my lockscreen be it GPS version or what not. So I give up and try this one:



I install WeatherIcon, config it thru the app and I still can not get the weather to show up..

Very frustrating that I can't even get a simple mod like this to work properly on my phone. Can anyone help out?

I can understand your frustration as I'm right there with you. I've tried numerous weather widget lock screens and only a few have worked properly. I've no idea why that is. What I do know is that the weather info for my location is a bit inconsistent. Small town I suppose, as when I go to the city every weather widget works perfectly.

The weather LS for Sink worked perfectly, as did a weather LS mod for Boss made by Dacal, I think. It was a mod of the TouchSpin LS, added a forecast section to the spin. Anyway, those two in particular actually worked properly for my small town location and I still have no idea why those work and almost every other one doesn't. Something to do with how they're coded I suppose or maybe most use Yahoo weather for info while the ones that work use another source. Yahoo weather is almost useless for my location.

Yeah...the one from Dacal works great but the I think the difference is that the weather is part of the LS itself. Where as the the one in question you need to install another app to get the weather to work.
Yahoo weather is the most popular but even for my city, its generally off by a few degrees.
