Okay, I have re-downloaded this widget and here is the SB one (without ribbon) and I still do not get an overlay background for underneath the time. I did not move any image files, am I supposed to?? Thank you for any help.

If you have the non ribbon one, you need to save the wallpaper inside the theme folder to your camera roll.
Then chose it as springboard background in the settings.app, respring, and all should be fine.
