Can someone help me, I want to change the text color on the grey badges on the regular BOSS theme, from dark grey to white, so that I can see them better. Does anyone know where the file is that contains the info for the badges and what is the hex code for white? Many thanks

open boss.theme > info.plist
look for this;
<key>BadgeStyle</key>
<string>font-size:14px; color: rgba(160, 160, 160, 0.9); change rgba to (255, 255, 255, 0.9) and respring

If was just in there and saw that, and just made the change you indicated but the badge text is still grey. You don't think I should change where it later says "text-shadow" ? There is a hex code there of #000000
Thanks, I'm going to try that now, the hex code that is in there is #000000
Okay, I have changed both places in the BADGES in info.plist and neither have changed the text on the badges to white. I am stumped.Last edited by dollface54; 07-08-2012 at 09:44 AM.

you don't need it to change the text shadow because it is black, unless you are sure what you are doing. Shadow Hex code is more complicated so no need to change. Just make sure after change text color to (255,255,255,0.9) save and exit.
Reapply in winterboard and respring ~

Thank you, I was saving and re-applying in winterboard, but this time I merely shifted some items around and put BOSS back at the top again, and resprung and now it worked! I appreciate all of your help, thank you.

I found out what is causing the grey text, it is the Custom Dock that gives a super mirror reflection on the dock, it also changes the badges and there is no info.plist in the dock to change the text color.Last edited by dollface54; 07-08-2012 at 10:05 AM.

glad to know you solve it yourself, just remember any theme on top of boss.theme; if there is info.plist inside, it will overwrite your boss.theme so no matter what you change won't see the changes. So in future you can change the most top XXX.theme info.plist to make whatever color you want in springboard, even transparent

Thank you, I will. I don't know if you saw my edit to my post, but I found out what is changing the badges to a different badge with dark grey text, it is called Custom Dock and it is a super shiny reflective dock that was posted here. The theme has no info.plist so no way to change the badge text color. I just won't use it.
