Should be, I'm almost certain it saves at full resolution. It's already 118x120, so it should be ready as a dock icon. Or were you talking about like the circular dock icons?

Have you tried launching your weather app and allowing it to update. Then backing out and waiting about 5 seconds. My Lockscreen and per page weather widget are both functioning normal.

Im using a reworked version of this one: http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-4-ne...er-widget.html

There seems to be a problem with latest iOS and location based weather. The weather from the ios weather app location updates right on my device.

    I don't understand. Are you saying you're NOT on iOS 5.1.1 ?!?

Where's the weather setting? Can't find it the way you explained. But even if I do find a way to change refresh rate the widget isn't updating for me. I just manually refreshed the weather app's readout but the springboard widget still tells me it's nighttime. So it's the widget that has the problem.

    Hi,

I have same problem but I do not think it is widget issue. I tried several Native Weather Widgets and all of them has same problem (the widget condition even switch to day/night is not working as expected). If you try to use DashboardX (you can find cydia) and add standard weather app on your SB, probably you will realize that it is also not working (as expected).

I think, required lib weather component (part of weather icon) has problem. Just for your testing could you please try the following widget (it is free and created by Larke) and share your comments?

Im on iOS 5.1.1. The widget works for me and uses the first location from my iOS weather and shows the conditions from weather icon/ios Weather app, maybe with a little delay.

What is not working right is if you set your iOS weather app to GPS based locations (=local weather). The widgets uses your local (GPS) weather location but it was reported that it will not switch to another location if you move. Please check if weather icon switches right if you change your location or try it also with a disabled GPS weather.

What do you think about this Battery idea ?

Well, no, Blue - the widget ONLY works if you DON'T use it in GPS mode. That's how you should say it - and you should tell people that when you release the final version. That's a deal killer for many of us and if if I'd have known the main weather widget in a theme wouldn't work I wouldn't have bought it. I still love this theme but you should tell people Native Weather doesn't work with GPS.

No. I just tested it: If i enable "local weather" at the iOS weather app the widget switches to that GPS location. It may not switch to the next location if you move.
No weather widget on a theme over the last years changed location based, and this one is setup free, no need to manually add location codes to a text-file like all the years before.
So to call this a deal killer and call the widget not working (?!!) and so reduce the complete theme to this bagatelle is annoying.

    You should know this:

    1. If you move 10, 20, 50 or 100 miles you will probably always have the same weather conditions. There are not so many weatherstations.
    2. Permanently or frequently GPS localization eats your battery for sure, it is generally never recommended to use such widgets or this setup at your weather app.

    Just my thoughs....
