Thanks for the feedback buddy,
This version uses timed opacity settings to simulate the movement, so it already leaves a one block trail.
Look at the pic closely, there is the main LED at full brightness and the one to the left is at 50% opacity.
Doing this in just code is kinda tricky, getting the timings right is the hard part.
I can move the LED's closer together, but I'm not gonna add more of them, Timing is hard enough with 6, let alone adding more
While a rainbow colored one would be possible, I wont implement that because then I would have to make a color option for each LED, and I just want to globally select the color for all of them at once.
Im still awaiting Larke for some more overlays, She is planning on adding some depth to the LEDs to give it a more realistic look.
So coding the hard part is done, just waiting for the Artistic touch of Larke to make this special

I saw the screen shot and noticed, but I did not know if that was just the timing of when you took the screen shot LOL
More light would be and like I said the overlay would look good if there was very little space between the lights.
DeepSkyBlue would be a welcomed colour to add in :-)

I agree, Thats how I coded my original Horizontal Dot animation. All it needed was a grill/grid style overlay on top and the glow ball would provide the fade effect. I made a rough grill like overlay to give Larke a idea of how it should look and work, but she didnt like it or the animation timings I set. So I thought I would try another route. Still up in the air with this. I kinda like both concepts and have coded each already, not sure which one to run with

Been working on something today, very slowly though. I have the worst migraine and editing text doesn't help

Can't show it though as its for an upcoming theme I'm lucky to have an early copy of. It's nothing special though so don't expect to be blown away.
Side note, I figured a way to show additional info/images outside the bounds of the widget.plist
Shows over top of icons if they are present and also allows you to still touch the icon under
I'll work on something for this at another time this week

Sounds intriguing.
So for example an iWidget custom clock icon which one could place over the default clock icon? The same principle could then be applied to say the calender and weather icons?
In effect one could have 3 "live" icons? 4 including the photos icon.
For the photos icon a themed icon either displaying a slideshow of the camera folder or one like you did linking to instagram?
Pretty amazing, I must say!!

this is exactly as i have mine running, i made the stock icons blank, so it appears they are not on the screen and where the iWidgets has information about time, weather and calendar i have placed the icons under there so when i press where the weather information is the stock Weather app appears and the same for the clock and date.
Have a look at what i mean on post #1318
