I agree Chevy is a star too. I already have a lot of his Widgets and he is very talented

I am sure with two of the greats working together we will be in for a treat.

Very possible. I have several already with optional overlays you select
Just need a line of JavaScript and edit the div for the overlay then add the plist info into options

Maybe You can work with Chevy and iLark and then we would have three of the best working on one Widget :-)

Chevy knows how to add optional overlays.
    Pretty easy
Grab one of mine with options and you'll see what I mean

I have yours with the overlays. So like you said it must be possible, whether it's practical to add a blank icon for each theme thought. But I suppose you could replace one with your own in not included ?

    Chevy, Durben and Driffter

I have had another idea what I think would be cool. And I would like to know what you both think or if you are prepared to have a go.

I love the Scroller that's on Chevy's weather widget and thought that would be very cool as a stand alone with some selective overlays. And maybe with Driffters word clock options where you can change font, colour, size etc etc
And I ain't know if this bit would be possible but somewhere you could put your own text e.g Richard's iPhone!

So then we would have a scroller with GPS where you could choose the style you want the font you want the colour you want and be able to add text to make it totally unique.

It's only an idea I am throwing out there and I have Zero skills to make this happen, but I would like to know what everyone thinks.

not chevi, durben or driften but.
moders do that in the html and you have to change it there. i do it with a function and then put the option var UserName in the Config.js. just have to put it in the Options.plist... maybe change couple lines in the js. but it's simple to that!

Here you go Richard, as per request a Scroller with many Options

    [Tweak] iWidgets-img_0883.png

I have included several different options for you to choose from:

    [Tweak] iWidgets-img_0882.png

You have a choice of either Overlays or Background Colors,
Text Style, Color and Size, and a scroll speed option.

I'm not very good with graphics, so I only included a few basic Overlays.
Just resize (320x45px) and copy any new overlay to the Overlay folder (rename to the existing ones).

To change the scroll text, edit the ScrollText.js and change the text inbetween the quotes.

    Download Here: http://www.mediafire.com/?64mdcu7r66ine01

    Enjoy

Edit: Updated links to V3 to fix a white border when you select no Overlay and Transparent color in the options menu.

Dude you are amazing. Could you add a GPS weather to it ?

So it scrolled the weather and then you could add your own text to the end ? Not sure it's possible to do both ?

But I am sure you guys know.

So many cool stuff coming now ;-)

I could, but that would be a little more involved, I must have misunderstood your request.
I didnt know you wanted weather info as well.
I got a few other projects I am working on at the moment, after I finish those I will add the weather to this scroller.

Here is the icon.forecast.iwidget thanks to Chevy! (all languages work now)
Themes that are currently included: BGV3, boss, noki, Prestige, VIP, iApplesauce, iAppleWood, iMattev5, edgy. Also the themes have multiple icon options (will need to use ifile to manually change the icon name) I've also included multiple css files for white text vs black text and to move the high/lo and weather icon closer for smaller icons.

It is likely not working because you have the regular iWidget tweak installed. You need to use the unstable version.
Remove iWidget tweak. Reboot. Install iWidget unstable and reboot again.
Then use Schnedis widget or any other widget in this thread.
