Actually I've never heard that saying. I 'have' heard the term 'glass half full/empty'. And I'm fortunate that I've always been a glass half full temperament in life and have been fortunate to 'live my dream' too..

So I'm hopin' for a fast jailbreak too. But experience is the best and most trustworthy teacher. Those who don't heed its tutelage end up fools. ;-)

For those that use Instagram as well as those who don't, here's a Slideshow widget that you can customize.
It takes a bit of work, not much though.

Step 1
Download the widget: http://db.tt/7ZaLtg0B

Step 2
Go to this website and enter your information into the fields. You can use your user name, someone else's user name, or use a photo tag name.

SnapWidget | Instagram Photo Gallery Widgets

*Important....select these settings below and it must be done on PC
Widget Type = Slideshow
Thumbnail Size = 150
Photo Border = No
Leave Background blank

Then select get code.

Step 3
*Will need to ssh into phone to take out and put back the widget to complete this.

Copy the code in the popup window that shows after you select get code and add to the Widget.html overwriting the code I hilighted in the below screenshot.



Then save the Widget.html with the script you just added and put back in/overwrite the Widget.html in the Instagram_SS_iWidget folder.

I set this up with Suicide Girls as the user name so you'll get a Slideshow of their feed if you run it as is.

So I've tried to convert The Noki facet 2.5 widget to iwidget but when I move the widget position to 15px in styles.css the widget takes on a different 3D dimension in relation to its default position of 225px.

In the video below the 1st x to delete is for the widget position at 225px . the widget sits right at the bottom of the screen, the 2nd x to delete is the widget set at the preferential position of 15px with the widget sitting where it should in relation the x but with a peculiar 3D action.

3rd x to delete is a blank icon - ignore

Thought I'd mention a nice tweak that goes well with iWidgets.
Its HomeSpringPage found on the BigBoss Repo.
What it does is allow you set your first SB page without icons.
This way you can load the first page up with large or multiple iWidgets and not have to worry about covering up icons.



I think its pretty useful, maybe you will too

Credits to my man Mdbrim for the code used in this. Posting it here simply because I am terrible at HTML and I know you guys will most likely come up with some cool stuff using it. This is a slideshow widget that pulls from the camera roll. It's been edited for easy editing and everything is commented. I'm hoping we can see some options added to it like in Chevys ultimate slideshow widget. Right now it's just a simple picture widget. No frame nothing fancy at all. I even took the liberty to make the pictures slightly skewed

Feel free to use it and manipulate. Just make sure you post here what you've done with it.

I've made it an iwidget. That's about it.

From what I can gather from the screenshot, the widget.plist height value is incorrect.

Unpin the widget from your springboard.

Edit the widget.plist and make the height number larger. Try adding another 50 to the current value.

Pin the widget again.

If its still cut off then repeat the steps above again but only add 10-20px until its right.

Those are from Chevy's iWidget group release he posted on this thread. I just removed the weather info text, but they still display the current weather images.

I just edited the CSS and added a

display: none;

to the weather texts I wanted to hide.
