    EDIT: Got it!
Complete with animation running in Chrome / Windows 7 OS

Here are the steps for anyone wanting to tinker with a theme/iwidget on your computer and get a FULL preview in Google Chrome of exactly what it will look like on your phone...

    1) Download the entire theme folder to your computer (gotta love iFunBox)
    2) Copy the myLocation.txt file from your phone (var/mobile/Documents) to the root folder of theme on your computer
    3) Alter the location.js file by erasing the "//" comment-out lines in front of: jQuery.get('myLocation.txt........ --and--place a "//" in front of: jQuery.get('file:///private........... (thanks Grant ;))
    4) follow the very quick and easy method on this page to disable the web security in Google Chrome:
How to disable same origin policy security on Chrome | Development Notes

Thanks to NewdestinyX for the walkthrough - more detailed instructions with images for numbers 2 & 3 above...

I was trying this, but I keep getting the "Loading...", what could be wrong?

I followed all the directions above, could it be that i'm running Win XP SP3? I have a Chrome shortcut with command line:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\king_o_hill\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-web-security

How are you launching Chrome? Are you just double clicking the LockBackground or Wallpaper.html file? That's what I was trying but had the same problem. I found that you need to launch chrome first by double-clicking the specific shortcut/icon that you added the "--disable-web-security" switch to. Then just minimize Chrome and now double click the html file.

I was opening chrome and then just dragging and dropping the HTML file into the blank tab.

Sorry for the remedial question but you're opening Chrome from the specific shortcut that you edited right?

If web security is actually getting disabled, you should see this message when you start Chrome....

Yeah I thought I should see that error message too. But I don't so that tells me that something is wrong. Yes IM opening Chrome from the shortcut that I created. I'm going to try it on one of my windows 7 machines.

Ok, your on a Mac. Yea, setting up the shortcut is different on a mac as I'm sure you found on this page:
How to disable same origin policy security on Chrome | Development Notes

I'm using Win 7 so I can't even test the Mac method but I just read that it is outdated and no longer works - sorry dude.

Haha - my bad, sorry. I read "I'm going to try it on one of my windows 7 machines." and just assumed your were on a mac, not another version of windows.
Very strange that it's not working on XP though. What version of Chrome are you running? I'm on "26.0.1410.64 m"

I just tried it on my win 7 PC, and it worked like a charm. I haven't tested a LS yet, but I get that security message in yellow, so I am expecting it to work just fine.

I will have to see what is going on with XP. Also, I have the same version of Chrome.

Wow - ok. Ya, I will look into XP issue as well - curious now.
Glad you got it going on Win 7.

    Randomly off topic.

I bet you have all missed me :-)

But really the off topic. Have any of the master coders that hang out here had a look at "Strife" a Dreambord theme. I am sure that some of the coders on here could make some amazing tiles for the theme.

You might want to have a look

    I'm just saying ;-)

Can someone explain how this is supposed to work? Came across this and have not purchased it. Last I heard Iwidgets cannot be placed in the dock. How does an animated dock widget get applied??

    I saw that too yesterday.

Not sure, maybe email the dev and ask him for clarification on how it works.

There is no trick. If you make a blank dock graphic you can see any graphic, widget or iWidget behind.

Iwidgets can go in dock I've been using that dock one above for a little while without problems. Plist is big enough that it can still be moved as usual

Hello Can you try with an iwidget thats confirmed working post Yahoo geolocation shutdown. I'm not 100% sure that one has been updated. Is it from Sch iWidget pack on cydia, or did you find it on a forum? I know you said "all" widgets aren't working, but it would be virtually impossible to try "all" iwidgets Can you clarify by checking to make sure you have a mylocation.txt file in your documents folder. If you provide as much details as possible, I'm sure someone will be able to help you troubleshoot. Thank you.
