By the way Simon, did u put Full Moon on my profile? If so, is it because I made a few comments about my parents copulating on a full moon?

But whoever said "how often do you cold boot?" - has a pretty compelling point. I guess much in the same way people are OCD about lots of leftover RAM or running minimal tweaks and only most stable ones - I'm driven by having a phone that works consistent with the functionality of a nonjailbroken phone. So for me I see this as a bug that needs addressing by tweak and widget makers. But that's just me I guess.

Each new iOS presents these challenges. Some will be risen to - others not. Oh - and I cold boot because its not good to leave your phone in Trickle battery charge mode for hours on end overnight while charging. Lessens battery life by up to 30%. So I charge full before bed and then turn full off.

    Thanks MJ!

Not just green but "Bright Green". I have worked too hard to earn this and the least u can do is give me the respect of getting my effeminate color right. Geeze man, what does a guy have to do here to get a little respect. I've been bestowed this great honor and I hope in the future, King, you will recognize my immense contribution to this forum. Recognize son...what what.

How dare you. First of all, I know it's bright green because Simon told me it was. Secondly, being color blind is a life crippling affliction. I have been traumatized by this from a very young age. I won't go into too many details but one story comes to mind.

I remember my first day at public school. It was third grade and all the kids looked at me as an outsider. When recess started I had no one to play with so I sat outside alone. Then this sweet kid name Azulejo O'hara asked me to go swing with him. I gleefully accepted and he pointed in the general direction where the swings were and said let's go play on the red one. As we walked together he had to tie his shoe and said I should go ahead and he would meet me there. I stood there like an idiot because I had no idea which swing was the red one. Everyone thought I didn't know my colors and teased me all year.

Thanks King for making this Sunday, the Lords day, so painful. I guess bright green doesn't force respect. Thanks for trying Simon.

    Default Drifters Touch Status extender
Made a little iWidget for myself and thought I would share it with the community

I wanted something simple and unobtrusive to display Basic Weather Info and Calendar/Location below the status bar.

Here is what I came up with.

    Defaults to Weather Display:

Then touch it to Display Date and Current Location:

Added a few simple options for the Weather:

Yeah I'm in a hotel right now and the wifi is slower than 3G LOL but I tried both with wifi on and off

I did notice that all my iwidgets and widgets and lockscreens are showing me the weather at home "Toledo Ohio" and I'm in Detroit Michigan ..... They have never done this before and it's weird because I have them all setup to use GPS ?!?!?

Ok. Let me get this straight. The situation is turn wifi off. Reboot. Widgets don't bring up weather, even after signal is obtained. Correct? Yes, I tried it and this happened to me. No, it has never happened to me before because I have never felt the need to turn my wifi off then reboot my phone. There is no need to. Was I able to fix it? Ya, I resprung and weather loaded just fine. Are we really to the point that we complain about some odd instance of events that lead to simply having to respring to fix it? Boy times have changed. These jailbreaks are just too easy these days. Makes us just keep wanting more and more things to just work perfectly without having to put a little work in.
You wouldn't have liked the 1.X days Grant. Things were rough back then. I remember having to install something called oktoprep on 1.1. Then update to 1.1.2 and run some jailbreak program on my computer that used this to jailbreak again. All to just find out my phone app crashed continuously because apple hadn't quite figured out how to handle phone number formats for non-official carriers, I couldn't blame apple though, they didn't need to since they weren't sold unlocked so I was doing something the phone wasn't supposed to be doing. That was a serious pain to fix. Don't get me started on the virginizing process I had to do to my baseband because of a potential brick inducing IMEI bug apple "caused" with an update to phones that used anysim to unlock. That was some intense stuff doing that, brick back then actually did mean just that. No amount of DFU restores could help.
Here we are now complaining about the need to have to respring if we happened to turn wifi off and reboot. Jeesh lol.

@Simon. You are my hero. I agree completely with EVERYTHING u said. We should focus on real issues and not just normal phone behavior that has a simple solution like respringing.
