Hey guys. Loving this thread. Here's my home screen today
ImageUploadedByModMyi1363498396.733308.jpg
Is there a way to make the icons in the folders line up on the shelves? That would be cool.
Every time I try to install iconoclasm I get this message after I respring
ImageUploadedByModMyi1363498547.399624.jpg
Is that normal?? I've never seen that before and I have used it in the past
I've read on this thread that there is a beta version of folder icons on cydia. Could someone direct me to the link? Thanks!!

My experiment showing iWidgets populating widget weather data from cold boot.
I have use my own iWidgets, and some from NateD, ChevyMuscleCar and Schnedi for this video demo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZujvN6U2dA
As you can see the widgets get their weather info shortly after launch from a cold reboot.
So it appears that you are experiencing some sort of conflict in your setup as it is not happening on my device.Last edited by The.Drifter; 03-17-2013 at 08:18 PM.

After I reboot, the weather info on the widget does not show, but after I respring, it will show. This isn't with an iwidget though, it's one I'm using through winterboard...

You're in the minority, bro. Do you run a pretty clean setup tweak-wise? Most of us tweak out our phones. And we need these to work like they did in 5.1.1. Well over half the people reporting in experience what I am after cold reboot Drifter. And I use your iWids as you know.
.
I agree with you that it's some conflict - but it's affecting so many iWidget users maybe you can help us troubleshoot. Here to help if I can.

Here's a thought. Remove your iWidgets before a reboot
Or respring after.
Grant you have a lot if stuff running.
Keep in mind most of it is not hardware accelerated
You're loading very long scripts in multiple widgets and these take longer to run through than others
Run my dropscreen weather alone and see if you have this problem. If you do it's a problem on your device as mine (4S) and my girls 5 don't have an issue.
Are you running iconoclasm as well? Buggy fricken tweak. Not even installed on my phone.
I do have gridlock though.

But why would it be happening to the majority of people reporting in bro? You, Drifter and Gunny are the only of about 15 that have reported in about this bug that aren't experiencing it. If it were just me - of course - I would agree. And I did do that test already. Killed all iWidgets but yours. Still no data getting to it after cold reboot. So amount of widgets running is not the issue. Also disable Iconoclasm - problem still there. That's not it either.
And though I haven't said it in a long time. Running 'several' of Drifter's Independent Elements iWidgets is like running 'one' SB widget. The code is clean - no display nones - and Java only for the element being searched for. So in essence I'm running 2 iWidgets - Dual Touch AniWeather and 3-4 of the Independent elements - which equal 'one' iwidget for all practical purposes.
Finally! That's been so problematic. But I'm frustrated that he 'solved' one of the problems by taking AWAY functionality when it detects Infiniboard's presence. He turns off Icono's PerPage optioning when it detects Infiniboard. That's NOT a fix. LOL!!
And trying to do creative themeing without Iconoclasm is pretty impossible. Even with Gridlock.Last edited by NewdestinyX; 03-17-2013 at 12:50 PM.

All my iWidgets and LS all load as soon as it comes on from any boot you do! I think it's a tweak giving you the problem. PS it seems you have problems with a lot of stuff

Yes, you're right, Gunny. We need to give these guys a lot of props and patience for how hard they work for us. The jailbreak's only been out for a month and half now.
Well - a tweak that's affecting 'a majority' of us. You are in the minority.
.. It must be a really popular tweak to be affecting so many of us.

I really don't get why this is an issue. How many times a day do u do a cold boot? Also, respring is part of the jailbreak experience Grant, don't deprive others of this joy. To me it just seems like a simple issue of the phone taking longer to establish a cellular data connection from a cold boot. Not a "bug" just the post behavior of booting up your iPhone. Nothing to troubleshoot.

Well, I do run most of the popular tweaks,
here's my mobile substrate list:
Activator
AppList
BytaFont
SBsettings
ColorKeyboaed
DisplayStack
DreamBoard
FolderEnhancer
Gridlock
HomeSringPage
IconSupport
KBTweak
PreferenceLoader
RespringCacheFix
Springtomize2
WeeLoader
WinterBoard
iWidgets
libhide
You know the drill for troubleshooting, disable ALL tweaks in mobile substrate except for iWidgets, load a few iwidgets up and cold reboot, everything should be working now. Then turn on each tweak in Mobile substrate one by one, with a cold reboot check between each to see which tweak is the culprit. Since I do not have this error, I cannot tell you which tweak (or combination of tweaks) is the offending one, I gave you my list of tweaks that work on my device, the rest you will have to do on your own device.

A widget is a widget. Running 4 and calling it one cause they do separate things another does all in one is not true.
You are running multiple widgets that still need to run through their own scripts.
Short ones or not. "Clean" code or not. You have multiple widgets running.
Widgets on iOS 6 dont run like they used to on iOS 5. Never gonna be the same.
Simple solution. Don't reboot.
