A very strange bug I think that goes a way with a respring.
    I just tried. Mine stayed the same

    Hmm. I might try a fresh jailbreak and see. Finally got Jimmy's awesome Se7en icons to theme. I'm on my way.

    Hi. I just downloaded the update to the iwidget on my iPad 2 and it made it go into a never ending safe mode. I had to remove it. Anyone else with it happening. I had to take it off my iPad .

    @ssemmel, could you try deleting the preference file @ /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/iWidgets.plist? I made some changes to the file format to facilitate newer features.

    Also, when exactly does it go into safe mode? immediately after respring?

    Sorry for causing you inconvenience. I've reverted the repo to the previous version. Will get others to help test the new version on their devices first before pushing the update again.

    Hmm I didn't get the update so I couldn't see anything.
    From what you tweeted it looks cool

    I installed the updated "unstable" one on my 4S
    Works not problem so far. iPad I'll have to test tonight.
    The only pop up option was User Interaction On/Off

    Still not sure what the options were you tweeted. I'm assuming they would have to be written in the scripts of the widgets as well?

    It went into safe mode right after I unlocked it (no passcode)... only 2 apps showed up in the SB in the dock and nothing else for a second then safemode. I installed the one from the repo again and all is back.....

    @The_Durben:
    Had initially updated the tweak but some people experienced problems, hence the unstable version. I actually have two examples with the options set up using the HTC and ASUS widgets (on the first page). Uses an optional Options.plist file to do so. We tell it the name of the variable and possible choices, they get defined in javascript just as the widget loads. The motivation is that only widget makers need to touch the code.

    @ssemmel:
    Thanks and sorry!

    Definitely a good idea. User options with toggles is much simpler for the end user.
    Love to play around with one and check it out.

    This is great eldwin, going look at them right away.

    Edit
    I tried and I like it.
    I'll try to put Options.plist in my weather widget.

    Edit2
    Hmm, can not open the Options.plist in iFile (freeze it),
    I tried to change to .txt and still nothing, I guess I will have to wait to get home on the PC.

    I had the mini gps widget installed for a few days on 5.1.1 and all of a sudden it is just a black box. Does anyone know why all of a sudden that would happen?

    I am using the GPS from a txt file in documents directory that sets the location. I did a respring from winterboard and a hard reboot (now that I can reboot!) and still just a black box... the other gps widgets work... very strange... just this afternoon it stopped working...

    Update: I removed all widgets and put them back and they work....

    @The_Durben:
    Thanks! I had wanted to implement search but I've been having difficulty getting the keyboard to appear so far . Had to settle for the indexed list.

    @stratnik:
    The file has about 110k lines thanks to the long list of cities. Maybe iFile isn't meant for files with that many lines.

    Yeah, I figured that.
    I deleted the cities and zip codes (only that I can edit the plist in ifile)
    since it use GPS to get woeid and now opens it without problem.
    I managed to get
    - 12hr/24hr
    - second on / off
    - AM PM
    I can not get a 'c' / 'f' and language.
    I will wait iFile to be updated, web viewer does not work on 5.1.1
