I'm listed as dev. too but since I'm not actually creating any apps atm I'm not losing the jb. Just saying... If you're actually dev'ing apps then lose it for the platform you are doing apps for is my suggestion.

Hmmm, I don't really know, because I havn't test a beta version on my device so far. But I would say with the newest version of tinyumbrella (5.11.01) you can safe your SHSH. With that to 99% you can go back on 5.1.1 I think.

Most dev's also have a spare "beta test" device so if something craps it you don't lose your everyday device. That's might be an option you consider if possible.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that. I'm on a 4S. So, hmmm. I may have to buy a new iPod just for beta testing. Looking at some pre release stuff, and it doesn't seem that the 3rd gen iPod touch is going to be supported and that was my test device. Looks like 1st gen iPad may be out of the loop as well.

Get one off eBay, maybe you get a good deal on one. Then you can install whatever. I'm also getting the new iPhone (whatever the name) as soon as it comes out but exactly because we don't know if or when a jb will be available I want to keep my 4S safe. Just in case it's the last jb..
