Sunrise and sunset? the wind strength and direction ? humidity?

I tested today Native Weather with GPS on in Meteo app settings, and it worked fine... each time on my journey of 20 km the weather was updated for each city divided.
The only defect of Libweather is the absence of sunrise and sunset times, humidity, and wind.

PS: I never try it myLocation.txt based GPS weather because it does not work on 5.1

You can use GPS based weather lockscreen/widgets even on 5.1 or 5.1.1 without the MyLocation app, see http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-4-ne...ml#post6517810 (post #1386).

I also put a myLocation.txt file with my GPS coordonates in it. But what then is the advantage of using a weather widget with GPS coordinates written manual. Not practical at all.
But your alternative looks pretty interesting, at least less onerous than doing it manually.

Have you ever try to implement this code directly into the Widget in order to have an independent code would happen so totally third-party application. I'll try anyway if you will allow.

So for now I much prefer the Native Widget Weather it works with or without GPS. no need to enter city code or GPS coordinates ...!

Does myLocation will be updated before iOS 6? ^^

That is true, but to update the native weather you still need to open the stock weather app.
With the web server method you have to tap a safari bookmark and you get the new GPS coordinates, it is more a "GPS on demand" solution. The advantage is that you can get whatever you want as long as Yahoo Weather, Google Maps or who ever provides infos offers them. With the native weather method you are limited to what Apple offers.
It is just a choice that everyone has to decide for themself.
btw the web server method will work in iOS 6 as long as there is a JB. It works on OS 3.1.3 on my 2G, which has no GPS chip.
Not sure if crazyvivek will update MyLocation app to work on 5.1 or 5.1.1 or even on 6. Honestly I don't care, I don't need it!

Your city doesn't update either unless you open and close the weather app. That's convenient.

Yeah, and I guess having access to these extra weather elements really isn't much either:

    Sunrise/Sunset
    Visibility
    Humidity
    Wind Speed
    Wind Direction
    Barometric Pressure
    Pressure Rising/Steady/Falling
    GPS coordinates

Don't get me wrong, I still use some native widgets. sometimes that's all you need!

Don't so agree .. it seems to work better with "local weather" ON.
when testing Native Weather GPS (local Weather ON) on my Native Weather Widget Lockscreen ..the cities update themself ... just press home button to show the lockscreen and the new location appears one or two second later.

I agree however that not everything is perfect in this widget at updating data that is related to the goodwill of WeatherIcon.

I had also considered the issue of an alternative to MyLocation, and sought the side of google Earth .. it worked but the worries, you had to open Google Earth geolocation to update your new position.

A while ago I was playing with Google Earth, but found that the latitude and longitude I get from Google Maps (spot on for my current position) are miles away in Google Earth, sounds bizzare, right?
    Try it.

did you go into the apple weather app and turn "local Weather" on?

I downloaded the new A 2uinique native LS today on the 5.1.1 JailBreak and for some reason my current location never wants to update to the Night Time Display for my weather?

    Am I missing something?

Thanks guys for all the work on this. I have the LS working but on my LS it is showing the time in large font and date in smaller font underneath at the top of the screen. In your screenshots that isnt there. I cant find where it is coming from. It looks like it is still showing the normal lock screen date/time.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Gary

I'm not really sure why anyone would want to be on iOS 4 when there is a perfectly good jailbreak out for 5.1.1. But to each their own, I guess. Have a great day.
