These are durbens images. Again this widget is more of a stepping stone as a platform than it is as just a widget. It's really meant to be customized.

Couple reasons. Widgets are set to 320x480
Why use an image that gets scaled back down.
Second, larger images mess with Respring, small tight and easy to mod.
You can always go find 48 pics and make your own weather images and share them here too
Just some words for thought dude.

What is the size of this weather icon in my lock? Added the larger image I had.
This one is 640x960 and you can't see the difference. Why make a mod that is 100mb download?
The images presently in the lock are there to be moved/scaled/BG's added/different overlays
    Have fun peeps

Simple, she uses the set up I used for my other widgets and stacks them.

Wouldn't be able to do it, without great examples like Durbens stuff to look at. . Thanks, Durben.

I have learned SO much from the weather widget masters on this thread and others. I'll post my mod soon, as long as its okay with all the original authors. I'll wait for them to say yes before I do so. Don't want to step on anyone's toes.

to be honest there is no benifit in using this widget and durbens other widget.. all that is changing is the overlay witch you can take from this and use on the gps weather..

What your doing is makeing it a bit more difficult on yourself by having two differnt widgets doing the same function lol

The only thing this widget is doing differnt is the way it calls out weather.. if your using a unaAW widget with GPS there is no need for calling the native info cause your already gettiing your location using the GPS method..

Your phone will probably run smoother the lest stacked code running at one time i would suggest just takeing the styling and images out of this one and using it with GPS if you like having the animated

Sorry DB but I have to agree with that guy about the weather images I rather have a bigger 640x960 image scaled back I definitely see a difference bro Ill sacrafice a bigger DL to keep the images as sharp and crisp as possible I know it makes for a quicker and easier upload/dl but at the same time I want to take full advantage of the retina display even tho most widgets scale em back to 320x480 anyways theres still a noticable difference bro

ok ok ok, I got the pleasure of testing this today, all day. I happened to be driving all over the state for work. so it kinda worked out perfectly. I saw little to no battery drain, other than that of staring at my screen all day. weather app pulled from everywhere, and updated the lock all day. and at a few times I was in the country. like u gut A purdy mouff boay, kuntry. very impressive . I am actually really excited to see this dropped, and to see where it is headed. tank you everyone, Durbe, Dacal, Suby. and thank you to everyone here, for showing interest and support. hope everyone is having a good weekend
