problem solved!!
In the head section of LockBackground.html i added
Code:<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>

THANKS!!
Additionaly in DateTime.js at the end it hat to be:
to get the point between 09 and März.document.getElementById("date").firstChild.nodeVal ue = this_date_name_array[this_date] //concat long date string
document.getElementById("month").firstChild.nodeVa lue = ". " + this_month_name_array[this_month] //concat long date string
Now it's correct: 09. März
Thanks for help!!Last edited by ruedi04; 03-09-2012 at 08:43 AM.

In the lock background html change the z index of the layer to 1 from 90
Add your image to the folder Files and replace Layer.png naming yours the same.
In the Style folder go style css and change the z index of the weathericon from -99 to 10
It may not look great without the "frame" I would suggest making no changes and instead just cutting out your wall to be the layer. Up to you though
Look back some pages can't remember where but schnedi posted how to change that.Last edited by The_Durben; 03-09-2012 at 10:08 AM.

Is it necessary to leave sig.change on at all times?

No worries

Was just a simple play around. Has the original location js so you might want to change that.
lol at the longest weather description ever
I might start adding ones like that just to mess around :P
Disregard my last post then
That last widget I posted does not have those. They just used crazy's icons.
All my other ones have the 3200 pngs

No it's not. If left on it will update on the fly as you change cities.
You can leave it off and the weather conditions will continue to update for your current city.
If you change cities and have it off, simply toggle Sig.Change on again and then off and your new location will be updated.

Here is my solution:
First step: make a save copy of the original "Weather.js". Then open the "Weather.js" and save it again but with the encoding: Unicode (UTF-8); now change the weather descriptions like "schoen" to "schön" and so on. Then transfer it to your iPhone.
Why should you do this: the original Weather.js is saved with encoding: Western (Mac OS Roman)!
I'm going this way and it works perfect!!

Guys, during your tests, if you drive don't forget to look the road... Don't focalize on you phone .

In HTML?
No. I'm trying to make a all-in-one script for modders. The change to an existing widget must be minor. For now, need only 4 things.
1) Include a line in the HTML (be careful must point to the right location for js) :
<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="Resources/JavaScript/Main/GetLocation_Weather.js"/></script>
2) Copy the "GetLocation_Weather.js" (code in previous post) in the place above
3) Slightly modify the main javascript of your theme (for my widget, i call an init function in main.js) and must replace (for exemple ) :
validateWeatherLocation(escape(locale).replace(/^%u/g, "%"), setPostal
by :
if (locale == 0) { UpdateLocation(); }
else { validateWeatherLocation(escape(locale).replace(/^%u/g, "%"), setPostal); }
4) Put the locale variable to 0. For my widget (and a lot now, as a many are based on my code), edit the ../Setup/Config.js.
I think i didn't forget anything....
Can someone clarify what Dacal meant by #3 and #4 above? Not sure what main javascript file to modify and where do I put the locale variable to 0. Is it even needed?
Thanks.
