problem solved!!

In the head section of LockBackground.html i added

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>

...... open html and this line
change to this

Additionaly in DateTime.js at the end it hat to be:

document.getElementById("date").firstChild.nodeVal ue = this_date_name_array[this_date] //concat long date string
document.getElementById("month").firstChild.nodeVa lue = ". " + this_month_name_array[this_month] //concat long date string

to get the point between 09 and März.

Now it's correct: 09. März

Anyone replied to this yet? I would love to be able to use animated weather like HTCPerPageHTML with GPS auto update.

This code mixed with animated weather with forecast changing wallpapers (hd retina)I would gladly pay for. Anyone may point me in the right direction

No. I'm trying to make a all-in-one script for modders. The change to an existing widget must be minor. For now, need only 4 things.

1) Include a line in the HTML (be careful must point to the right location for js) :



2) Copy the "GetLocation_Weather.js" (code in previous post) in the place above

3) Slightly modify the main javascript of your theme (for my widget, i call an init function in main.js) and must replace (for exemple ) :



by :



4) Put the locale variable to 0. For my widget (and a lot now, as a many are based on my code), edit the ../Setup/Config.js.

I think i didn't forget anything....

Can one you expert modders clarify #3 and #4? Not sure where I would modify these lines of code. I am using Ian's UNiAW test mod.

Hi, a short question:
as PerPage dont work yet but i would like to have that on my Springboard i just renamed LockBackground.html to Wallpaper.html and played a little bit around. In general it works great. I removed the layer.png cause it doesnt fit to SB.
Now i have only a black background and would like to change that. But if i add a new layer it will cover my weather icon means the layer is on top of the icon and the icon is "invisible". Is there any way to change the backgroung but keep all weather information including the icon on top ? And i dont want to cut the layer, i just want to change the complete background if possible.

Oh, i use the EPHDiOS5 GPS Weather

In the lock background html change the z index of the layer to 1 from 90
Add your image to the folder Files and replace Layer.png naming yours the same.
In the Style folder go style css and change the z index of the weathericon from -99 to 10

It may not look great without the "frame" I would suggest making no changes and instead just cutting out your wall to be the layer. Up to you though

Hi M8, I'm using this too, beautifully simple, but I see a wee problem, there isn't enough room for long weather condition descriptions like "Mostly cloudy but might rain, then again maybe snow followed by thunder but probably a sunny day. ", so I'm gonna remove the GPS coordinates and put the description in there,

To all modders & themers.

when you are making your yahoo icon sets, (especially with this GPS code as it happens a lot) don't forget to add icon number 3200.
3200 is the code yahoo uses for "Unknown" so instead of widgets showing a question mark with a white outline you can make a special icon for this. In the case of this GPS widget you would make 2 and name then "3200d" & "3200n".

The result: No more question mark.

No it's not. If left on it will update on the fly as you change cities.
You can leave it off and the weather conditions will continue to update for your current city.
If you change cities and have it off, simply toggle Sig.Change on again and then off and your new location will be updated.

Here is my solution:

First step: make a save copy of the original "Weather.js". Then open the "Weather.js" and save it again but with the encoding: Unicode (UTF-8); now change the weather descriptions like "schoen" to "schön" and so on. Then transfer it to your iPhone.

Why should you do this: the original Weather.js is saved with encoding: Western (Mac OS Roman)!

I'm going this way and it works perfect!!

First off the work being done on here is amazing and something I've been thinking about for over a year now. Always wanted my weather to be tracked by my location and you guys are pulling it off in such precise fashion that I couldn't be more excited.

OK so this is probably an easy question but I need help. I'm running the Vertical Widget Mod and I'm trying to shift my Temp and Desc details over to the right. I update their "left" coordinate in the Style.Css file, and it looks good on the Wallpaper.html, but when I respring and apply none of the changes take effect on my Spring board. What am I missing?

Hi ! Sorry, but there is so many version on this thread, i can not know if it is necessary or not. Ian send me a PerPage version of uniAW to have a look on it (seems not refresh correctly) but don't have time now to check it... Perhaps tomorrow.
