the MyLocation Widget doesn´t works on my iphone 4 with iOS 5.0.1

It opens, black screen comes for 2-3seconds ans closed.

Respring and reboot -> nothing better
    new install -> nothing better

Yepp, I had that a couple of times, but it went further -> no app would open and it did not matter how often I rebooted, so I had to restore.
Considering that your situation is not too bad.
Did you uninstall the old not working MyLocation app before you installed it again?

Might be that the weather in Kamloops is better then in the UK.

The slider would default to the users set theme as mine is running EPHD
That is the only thing that would be different per user.
    Beautiful, would you share it?

so now we can make normal widgets with GPS? i mean replace: var locale = " SPXX0190" for the weather.js/location.js? and use normal weather icons(no rename to 1d,1n, 2d, 2n) ??

Please correct me if I'm wrong, If we move to another location, and the app changes the coordinates, then the widgets update automatically because the location.txt file has been re-written? Os we don't need to refresh every 20 minutes?
Can anyone explain exactly how it works or do I have the right idea on how this updates itself?

If so, which part of the code tells the widgets to change location because the text file coordinates have changed?

    Thanks wise men.

    @ rasputin007,
Is it okay to have two symlinks from the same location?
    I have a symlink from
    /private/var/mobile/Applications/(UUID of MyLocation.app)/Documents/myLocation.txt
    to private/var/mobile/Documents.myLocation.txt as you did.
    Then a symlink from
/private/var/mobile/Documents/myLocation.txt to the "root" folder of the lock screen theme and another symlink from
/private/var/mobile/Documents/myLocation.txt to the "root" folder of the PerPageHTML theme.

    Thanks.

That's correct. If Sig.Change is left on the app will update the myLocation.txt file and the cities update automatically. Subsequently the txt file will update each time the Sig.Change is toggled on then off.
In my driving around with it on the timing is flawless and changes as soon as I cross into another city.

Question for you Ian, what image is my GPS uniaw trying to call in the center?
Mine is working and was apparently last night, I just didn't wait for it to fully load in web view. I closed it when the ? mark appeared but I left it on my lock this morning and it loaded.

Hard to say without seeing the html file and knowing what images you deleted, looks like you have deleted an image from somewhere but left the code in the Widget.html for it, have you removed all the code below from the Widget.html file?

    <img id="Clockface" src="Images/clockface/Clock.png" class="stretch"></img>
    <img id="sunriseimg" src="Images/SunriseSunset/sunrise.png"></img>
    <img id="sunsetimg" src="Images/SunriseSunset/sunset.png"></img>
    <img id="lcbg" src="Images/linecalendarBG/lcbg.png"></img>

If your stuck, send it back to me and I'll find the problem.

I just got EPHD 2012 today, lots of goodies to play with!!

Yeah I also noticed it wasn't auto updating, but now Dacal is on it we got no worries M8.

The GPS is almost too good as Yahoo doesn't know all the places, this is what the UniAW looks like when Yahoo gives the "Unknown" weather condition, but for some weard reason it knows all the other info!

I'm thinking this will be a common complaint!

Hi Tyler, can you share your findings here for all?
I'm a bit reluctant to even try the "Deb" way as I don't want to risk having to do a restore and start over!

I'll check the images again but couldn't find what it's looking for the first time.

Sidenote* mine updated cities on its own on my drive through two different locales this morning on my way to work. No Respring. Didn't even lock/unlock. Info changed on its own.

Ian, uninstall the app however you installed it and download the EPHDiOS5_GPS_Weather
It will install the app and the EPHD GPS Weather theme.

Perfectly safe. There have multiple downloads with no issue. Two people only have a problem with info displaying.

Then you'll have the same deb installed as Chevy, schnedi, and I.

I've had that happen in a few areas. It is weird it grabs temp ect but no image and description.
Works more often than it does this though.

I did a dirty work around for it. I have myLocation.txt file for my home city in a Backup folder in documents.
If my locale changes and it gives an unknown variable I turn off Sig.Change, delete the myLocation.txt file that was created in Documents and copy my home location one into Documents.
It then gives me my info for my home city. Did it this way because I haven't had "unknown" show up while I've been at home yet.

Figured our my missing image. Duplicated a line for day night images but wasn't closed. Removed it and done.
This is fully working. I also tested the direct path rasputin noted and replaced the one I was using. Both ways work for me.

Now to add some more info, change my clock and calendar code and style the text

BTW Ian, enjoy EPHD. It's awesome. Super clean theme
If you haven't yet, try my EPHDiOS5 iNteractive SS LS
Just a sideshow, nothing too fancy. Touching center pic makes it go back a pic each time it's touched.

Already posted a working deb man and crazyvivek has it on the first post.
Probably not a good idea to keep posting these as people will start installing over top of others. This can create conflicts and potential restores.

If you looked at rasputins code you'll see he also used the quickflip js
Just a thought for a similar version to what we played with before on one of the touch widgets

I can't believe this has turned into what it has already.
Still can't thank crazy enough for cracking the location services to get this to work the way it does.
    Fricken brilliant

Where my lock is at now
This one includes the config js with base from rasputin, additional language and clock config by schnedi and some duplicate weather image styling by Chevymusclecar and overlays by Barsoverbeats
    In my opinion it's gorgeous!

Sorry I can't post the theme for y'all as the overlays and weather images used are from a paid theme.
